  • Let me disclaim…

Most people that write about prolife and abortion issues have have no personal knowledge about what they are writing or saying, only the passion of trying to save unborn children – which I do commend them for. However, just know that I have personally been inside of an abortion clinic, saw the conditions, dealt with the staff and suffered the procedure. What I have to purport is not arbitrary or flippant; it is the stone cold truth.

  • Salvation Help

Dear Lord Jesus, I realize that I am a sinner and have broken your laws. I understand that my sin has separated me from you. I am sorry and I ask you to forgive me. I accept the fact that your son Jesus Christ died for me, was resurrected, and is alive today and hears my prayers. I now open my heart’s door and invite Jesus in to become my Lord and my Saviour. I give Him control and ask that He would rule and reign in my heart so that His perfect will would be accomplished in my life.

    In Jesus name I pray.
    Amen.

A brush with LIFE.

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on September 7, 2011

As we walk the halls of our lives and ministries, meandering without seeing, we think we have no effect on those our ministries focus on. Those of us in Ministry want instant results, just like anyone else. We use our eyes way too often and forget to open our bibles and hearts to an immutable God that will guide us to those that need LIFE saving Salvation and encouragement.

Truth is what everyone seeks; truth about whom we are, truth about where we’re going, truth about LIFE. Is there an end to the whirlwind? Is there peace? Is there an absolute TRUTH?

In everyone’s day-to-day LIFE, we tend to focus on what is negative because it’s what we SEE with our eyes. We ‘see’ what is set before us with our eyes only – it’s our perception and discernment that needs to be honed:

“I am the way, the truth, and the LIFE. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” John 14:6-7

Without perception, how could we come to know Him? And without discernment, how can we have truth in Him?

In Prolife ministry like KeepLifeLegal, we know that to save unborn babies, we have to try to change the heart of the mother and the abortionist to accept that LIFE is from God, not by accident. In evangelistic ministry, much is the same; to be saved you have to change your heart and accept Jesus Christ as Savior.

Pastors and Ministers: Today you may help change or save someone else’s LIFE, or maybe they’ll surprise you and change yours.

Questions, questions

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on May 20, 2011

A search query came across my site and it said:

“If you have 4 abortions and get saved can you make it to heaven or will you go to hell?”

If your abortions were before you got saved and you repented, you will go heaven. When you are saved by Grace through Faith, you accepted Jesus and His sacrifice; His atoning Blood covered you and your sin forever. Simply, God the Father chooses to not see your sin anymore because you accepted the sacrifice of His only Son, Jesus Christ. But just like Jesus said to the woman caught in act of adultery, ‘go and sin NO more’.

Another question asked:

“Can you be prolife and eat meat?”

At first, I thought that was kind of a silly question but I gave a bit of thought and can see why someone would consider it. The Sixth Commandment is clear, “Thou shall not murder”. His Commandments are meant toward other people, not animals. Not one bit of scripture said to save the cows and kill unborn babies.

Also, in the first chapter of Genesis, God made man in His image, not animals. Further, God said, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth’ and ‘See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so.’ Clearly, God gave man (us) all of these things for food.

Got questions?

Joy will come in the morning.

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on May 3, 2011

Minutes become hours, hours become days, days become months, months become years. My abortion, even after 33 years, will never leave my thoughts. My journey with this abominable decision has been up and down, mostly down until I came to know Jesus Christ as Lord. Until that day in December of 2001 I was under the convictions of my own mind, inspired by the pit of Hell. Satan demanded my life; Jesus demanded only my belief in His finished Work at the Cross. I found that to be much more palatable than an eternity of a living Hell.

‘For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for LIFE; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.’ Psalm 30:5, NKJV

But can my sin be forgiven? Not only has my sin(s) been forgiven but they have been forgotten! My sin will never be held against me ever again! Jesus died for ALL of my sins, not just the wimpy ones.

I have days where I honestly wonder if I will ever get over my own sin. I sometimes can’t seem to put one foot in front of the other and hate getting up in the morning. Abortion always has at least two victims. My child is in Glory, thank God – but I’m still here baring the offense. But God is good!! His promises are sure.

‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.’ Jeremiah 29:11, NKJV

I am the Woman at the Well, going about my daily grind thinking about a life I can’t get out of the way of. It seems like a path that is set out for me, it’ll be all that I know. But Jesus is at the Well waiting for me…ME!! I am a sinful woman that has only known an idolatrous religion and lived life like it didn’t matter. But Jesus is at the Well waiting for ME!! Look at me…I’m so unworthy. But Jesus is at the Well waiting for ME!! And I will exalt Him to my peers and neighbors for He is good and He forgives ME!!!

I am restored because I know Jesus – but I need a shot in the arm now and then, I am human and I do grieve and hurt for what I did in my old life. I go to my Bible and read the Promises that God has given me because I believe in Him and not a world that still seeks to destroy me.

I thank God for his Mercy and His Son, Jesus Christ – my Lord.

‘Praise the LORD! Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.’ Psalm 106:1, NKJV

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on February 25, 2011

After reading a Facebook update from a Christian woman about a black child’s chance at seeing life OUTSIDE the womb in NYC, let’s consider this: before you open your toxic mouth, do a little research before you spew your vomit-like opinion.

I hate ignorance. And it has no place in ministry.

Abortion is a very uncomfortable subject, even for the most seasoned Christian. I found that out AGAIN today. I am continually amazed at how Christians, especially Christian women, would rather eat dirt than deal with the issue of abortion.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

A placard with a dismembered aborted baby on it is an awful thing to see outside of an abortion clinic…but it speaks volumes. Abortion kills. Hiding behind a false sense of piety will not bring the life back into the aborted child. But if you call yourself a Christian, and don’t mind gun slinging advice to those that did not ask for it, it would behoove you to consider helping an innocent child from being mutilated inside the confines of his/her mother’s womb.

Persecution is like a drug…it makes me want to do more for the cause of Christ and for the unborn.

The Moderate Prolifer, part 2

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on January 14, 2011

Does religion or religious affiliation have anything to do with abortion? Yes and No.

Understanding Post Abortive women is an on-the-job learning experience, unfortunately. A Post Abortive woman/counselor wrote, “She said she had supported the right of a woman to obtain an abortion, but had grown up in a Christian family and never thought she would have one herself.” I wish I could say I never heard that song before, but I have – in my own life. Over half of Post Abortive women considered themselves Christian at the time of their abortion, and many more were raised in a ‘Christian’ home (catholic, main-line protestant, evangelical, etc) but had negated or denied their faith:

“Women identifying themselves as Protestants obtain 37.4% of all abortions in the U.S.; Catholic women account for 31.3%, Jewish women account for 1.3%, and women with no religious affiliation obtain 23.7% of all abortions. 18% of all abortions are performed on women who identify themselves as “Born-again/Evangelical” – AbortionNo.org.

Women that abort identify themselves as having a form of religion either in their lives at the time or when they were growing up. Evidently, whatever their affiliation is, their church has not professed what the Bible teaches regarding killing or harming another person, whether that person is born or not yet born. There is a lull and even a complete lax in teachings regarding LIFE – all LIFE. Churches today consider teaching against abortion and homosexuality archaic and even blasphemous. Obviously these new church leaders are reading the newspapers and novels, not the Bible.

Today, what the moderate prolifer needs to remember is what Jesus said near the end of His own life, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself”. The ‘neighbor’ is everyone, born and not yet born – that being said is it okay to abort anyone if you are to love your ‘neighbor’?

God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34); He shows no partiality to anyone; all LIFE is valid and precious.

There is freedom.

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on December 10, 2010

I cannot give an entire account of all the bits and pieces of guilt I have had over the years. Being Post Abortive, I still battle a devil that seeks me because of my past sin. I had a lot of guilt but my God is bigger than that; He’s bigger than the devil, He’s bigger than I’ll ever be. God gave me freedom when nothing else could or ever can. Just like most Post Abortive women, I sought freedom in other things like alcohol. That’s not freedom, that’s another nail in a coffin that the devil had for me.

‘Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God, Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners’ – Psalm 146:5-7.

I would never know freedom if I didn’t know Jesus as my Savior. He died for all of my sins, not just some of them or just the pretty ones…ALL OF THEM.

Your freedom from years of horrific guilt is only a moment away – look ahead to the Cross.

If you have concerns about how your abortion has affected your life or how to get freedom from your past knowing Jesus Christ as Savior, email me at katherine@keeplifelegal.com.

God Bless!

Do you pay for abortions? YES.

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on August 23, 2010

Your tax dollars pays for abortions! Absolutely everyone in these United States pays for abortion through federal, state, sometimes city taxes, and health insurance premiums. You would be surprised who you are paying for:

  • Minor girls; through the public school system, Medicaid
  • Women on Medicaid
  • Women in the military
  • Women in prison; federal, state, county
  • Women in third-world countries
  • Federal employees

We can change the laws, change the president, change the Supreme Court…but until you change the heart of man to understand that life begins at conception, abortion will always be an option to everyone at any point of gestation.

Share Jesus with the pre-abortive mother and save both lives.

Jesus is Life.

Decisions, Choices

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on August 17, 2010

Absolutely every question you have, every life choice you’ll make is addressed in the Word of God. The dilemma of decisions and choices are addressed specifically with the story of Saul and David. Decisions and choices are better made with prayer and patience. In other words, be careful what you ask and pray for…you might just get it. The story of David and Saul is a story of making right decisions and listening to God. Telling God what to do does no one any good but earnest prayer makes a way for God to speak to you.

‘And the LORD said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them’ (ref: 1Samuel 8:7).

Israel demanded a king…demanded. God told Samuel that the people, His beloved Israel, have rejected Him, they would rather have a king to judge and rule them. It’s easy enough to understand, Israel didn’t want the condemnation of God any longer. They somehow thought they could outrun God by having a man rule them. God told the people through Samuel what would happen! It would be certain that Israel’s choice to have a man rule them would be a disaster. The people chose Saul; God chose David. Had Israel been patient they wouldn’t have had to deal with all the years of Saul. What the people didn’t realize is that those years wasted on Saul’s rule were actually a time of preparation for the King that God had chosen. The people of Israel had to be prepared for what God had for them. (ref: 1Samuel 8:7-22)

So much of our lives on this earth would have been spared of so much grief if we would have petitioned the Lord and waited for His answer. How many lives could have been spared if men and women understood what fruit their ‘choice’ would bear in the future? The people wanted Saul; he was the ungodly choice. God chose David because He knows what’s best for us. Sin is a decision made to either be equal to God or to totally reject Him.

Abortion is not a choice; it’s an abomination that was brought about because sinful men and women couldn’t stand the conviction of God – the obvious result of an ungodly relationship, an innocent child. But notice the end of the David and Saul story, God had MERCY on Israel to give them David as king. After so much rebellion from His chosen people He still loved them enough to give them the right choice, His choice. For all of my Post Abortive friends, know that He has Mercy and has forgiven you! He has a better decision/choice for you….Life, abundantly.

The Narrow Gate

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on August 16, 2010

Entering through the narrow gate makes demands on the person passing through. First, you must enter alone. You can bring no one else and nothing else with you. Baggage not required; lack of faith, worry, your past, grief, hate. What is the cost? What is needed to go through the narrow gate?

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”*

Don’t have to be rich; in fact Jesus said ‘sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me (Mat 19:21)’. That statement alone should not grieve you, it should relieve you. Finding out that there are no earthly goods needed is truly astonishing to the ‘rich’ man. ‘How can that be?’ the rich man wonders. While still on this earth, all that is needed is your faith, prayer and well shod feet; ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15)’. If money comes, then I assure you He has a mission for it before it ever touches your hands.

Jesus made the way to Him so easy. Life is precious to Him; every unborn child that will succumb to abortion, children gunned down at school, inmates on death row, murderers – everyone. ‘If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Rom 10:9)’.

The narrow gate is not so hard to go through. Bring nothing, He has everything. Do you hurt? He heals. Are you poor? He has a mansion for you. Are you hungry? You will never hunger or thirst again.

What could you possibly have that he wants? Faith alone.

*Matthew 7:13-14

Breaking down the Strongholds

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on May 23, 2010

Being set Free to live YOUR abundant Life!

“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.”*

The cycle of sin is constant, repetitive and if you keep an eye out, you’ll notice it the minute the devil takes his aim toward you. But there are some things that WE hold onto thinking that we need to be reminded of our filthy past in order to be considered a good Christian. I agree that we should remember where we came from to learn from it, but we aren’t bound to servitude because of it. That is not of God.

Strongholds are meant to keep us in bondage to the devil and disguise itself and some kind of penance that we have to live with. Nothing can be further from the truth. The Post Abortive Woman deals with the stranglehold of the devil who means to keep us from healing and being an effective child of God.

Strongholds are not necessarily particular sins; some think that it’s alcohol, drugs – things like that, but it’s much deeper. As a child of God, we deal with self-condemnation, fear and lack of Faith. We are over the tangible sins of our past, now we have to deal with what the devil fears most: Being and effective Christian. And with that, he will keep us in a stronghold like Fort Knox.

Think of a stronghold as being in a dark, damp prison with no possibility of parole. The Post Abortive Woman keeps herself there scared to death to try to be a better woman of God because of the self condemnation that she heaps upon herself. And then when fear strikes, we lose our Faith. God has never given us the spirit of fear, ever. He is our Defender, Comforter, our Resource; not some pharisaical finger pointer every time you stumble. Remember to consider the source of your discomfort.

But Praise be to God! “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”**

*2 Corinthians 10:4 (ESV); **2 Corinthians 15:56-57 (ESV)
