  • Let me disclaim…

Most people that write about prolife and abortion issues have have no personal knowledge about what they are writing or saying, only the passion of trying to save unborn children – which I do commend them for. However, just know that I have personally been inside of an abortion clinic, saw the conditions, dealt with the staff and suffered the procedure. What I have to purport is not arbitrary or flippant; it is the stone cold truth.

  • Salvation Help

Dear Lord Jesus, I realize that I am a sinner and have broken your laws. I understand that my sin has separated me from you. I am sorry and I ask you to forgive me. I accept the fact that your son Jesus Christ died for me, was resurrected, and is alive today and hears my prayers. I now open my heart’s door and invite Jesus in to become my Lord and my Saviour. I give Him control and ask that He would rule and reign in my heart so that His perfect will would be accomplished in my life.

    In Jesus name I pray.
    Amen.

Standing in the Great Gulf of the Abortion Divide

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on April 6, 2011

So seldom do I have the precious opportunity to read a newspaper editorial about the rights of the unborn child. Since the advent of the liberal woman, all that comes from these abortion advocates is how ignorant we are as women for being pregnant at sometimes the most unexpected times of our lives. There’s an app for that, it’s called abortion on demand.

On the left we have liberals that support the abortion agenda; on the right we have those that fight for the lives of unborn children that liberals wish to exterminate. In the middle, we have the Great Gulf of people that have been hurt, victimized, dehumanized, damaged and wounded because of abortion – women and men that struggle for the rest of their lives because of the ‘choice’ to abort.

The statistics are clear: at least 65% of abortions are coerced, 80% of women did not want an abortion; nearly 25% of pregnancies end in abortion. These victims of abortion stand in this Great Gulf and continue to suffer and lament because of ‘settled law’. Abortion was legalized but who is there to pick up the pieces of a grieving parent? The government pays for abortion but does nothing to help mend a broken heart; if the government did, then it would prove that abortion is not a ‘choice’, it’s killing an unborn child and they will never admit that.

Lawmakers are also in this Gulf trying to unravel bad law called Roe v. Wade. Current legislation in Ohio is trying to make informed consent laws deeper and more succinct…the H.B. 125, the Heartbeat Bill, will do exactly that; no abortion when a detectable heartbeat is found. A heartbeat means life to doctors, nurses, paramedics, and to all others in the health industry. How has that logic escaped abortion doctors and practitioners? How are they exempt from following the most basic medical evaluation of LIFE?

We can reduce the Great Gulf of victims with good legislation and unraveling bad law like Roe v. Wade. Abortion stops a beating heart, abortion kills an unborn child.

Intrusion or Intervention?

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on March 31, 2011

Before you read this from the NYT, understand that they whole-heartedly monetarily support Planned Parenthood; being a public company the New York Times Company’s yearly report can be found online.

A New York Times editorial says in part:

“…With no local doctors willing to perform abortions, the sole provider of nonemergency abortions in the state, a Planned Parenthood clinic in Sioux Falls, flies in doctors from Minnesota once a week. The new law will further compound the hardship for low-income women who must travel long distances to reach the clinic and who will be forced to make several trips or arrange to stay away from home between appointments…….All women seeking abortions, including victims of rape and incest, will be forced first to attend a counseling session at one of the state’s crisis pregnancy centers. These are unregulated facilities run by private groups with the aim of discouraging abortions, typically by displaying graphic photos or with ideological or religious messages or medical misinformation about psychological or physical risks” NYT 3/31/11

Certainly the writer has their finger on the pulse of the pro-choice world and is trying to infuse our sensibilities with their rhetoric of how they interpret what we are better off knowing.

First, let me say that knowing Planned Parenthood is paying for out of state abortionists to ‘fly in’ really makes me mad; as a tax payer, this is on my dime. This is what our taxes pay for…..I mean continue to pay for since for whatever reason our government would rather pay for abortions than give seniors a raise in their Social Security payment – usually their ONLY income – that they haven’t gotten in 2 years.

“Advocates for the abortion industry have sought to portray efforts to defund Planned Parenthood as a ‘War on Women,’ but the issue is big business, and that business is abortion……the organization raked in $1.1 billion in total revenue. Of that amount, $363.2 million came from taxpayers in the form of government grants and contracts. While current law prohibits Planned Parenthood from directly using tax dollars on abortions, taxpayers subsidize its overall operation, freeing up funds that can be diverted to direct spending on abortion.” NRO/Mike Pence 3/31/11

Second, Informed Consent laws are favored by the American public by at least 85%. That means WE THE PEOPLE believes that we are smart enough to understand the implications of abortion on the onset as well as in the future and how we will be ultimately affected by it. Simply, the abortion industry wants women in the dark so that they can be talked into making one of the most detrimental decisions of our lives while enjoying a BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY.

Third, calling a crisis pregnancy center ‘unregulated’ while the abortion industry continues to skirt the law NOT having required inspections if any at all, much less have the necessary staff, equipment and hospital privileges, is absurd. These ‘clinics’ are the modern back alley and the abortion industry created it.

Fourth, if a woman chooses to think that abortion is the answer, she needs to hear what the ramifications of what her decision would be for herself and her unborn child. Being informed, if nothing else is the fair thing to do for both mother and child.

I’ll bet when you want to buy a car, you test drive several, talk to friends and family, research the choices and then make an INFORMED DECISION. What the writer of the editorial in the NYT is saying is that there should be no other choice but abortion. Making an informed decision would be bad? It is for the INDUSTRY of abortion.

A house divided

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on March 30, 2011

…cannot stand.

“The Republican speaker of the Ohio House and current Ohio Right to Life leaders have questioned passing a bill that could sparks years of expensive litigation.” USA Today, 3/29/11

It’s all about the money. Actually, I heard that come out of the mouth of another RTL executive director just a couple of days ago. The only reason I do not call out his name is because I am still hopeful he will see his error and change his opinion.

It’s certainly worth a ton of money to continue to keep abortion legal in the United States. Litigation and lobbying for abortion ‘rights’ cost money and it will cost money to unravel it, but what I find interesting is that most of the people I have met that support the Heartbeat Bill are doing so pro bono; when I testified I did so at my own expense, gladly.

Since when is human life considered too expensive to protect? What if our cities and towns thought it was too expensive to protect us from crime?

Mike Gonidakis of Ohio Right to Life is doing a disservice to all that fight for the unborn. His logic is backward, insensitive and completely irresponsible. Why is he pulling the plug on Life? Gonidakis saying “Leading national pro-life organizations stand with Ohio Right to Life and share its concerns over the constitutionality of this bill” is not entirely true. Gonidakis is actively recruiting other prolife organizations to discredit legislation HE has deemed not good enough.

Sadly, this is a good example of how making a bill to become a law works; regardless of how much common sense it may have or whomever supports it, some cretin with a degree will flex their knowledge of the law to do harm for no real reason other than to be argumentative, contrary and divergent to get the attention they think they deserve.

“He [Rep. Wachtmann] and other supporters dismissed concerns about legal strategy, saying that many anti-abortion laws have faced court challenges, and the fear of losing is a poor reason for not trying.” Columbus Dispatch, 3/30/11

Other supporters of the Heartbeat Bill say, “We are delivering to the Supreme Court an invitation to overturn Roe” and, “To predetermine a court outcome is not sound policy”.

House Bill 125, under consideration in the Ohio House of Representatives, would outlaw abortions after a fetal heartbeat can be medically detected, generally six to seven weeks [18 days] into a woman’s pregnancy.

KEY PROVISIONS of HB 125 are:

  1. A person who intends to perform an abortion must determine whether there is the presence of a fetal heartbeat, according to standard medical practice.
  2. A person may not knowingly perform an abortion if a fetal heartbeat has been detected.
  3. A person who violates the prohibition is guilty of performing an abortion after the detection of a fetal heartbeat, a fifth degree felony.
  4. A person who intends to perform an abortion on a pregnant woman after detecting a fetal heartbeat must provide the woman, no later than 24 hours before the planned abortion, with the statistical probability of bringing the fetus to term.
  5. A pregnant woman who undergoes an abortion in violation of the prohibitions in the bill would not be subject to criminal or civil penalties.

The Great Gulf in the middle of the Abortion Divide

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on March 22, 2011

Or, Let me people go.

There are all kinds of surveys and studies done on the issue of abortion, pro and con. We see online videos depicting a group of 20 somethings with pink hair screaming ‘Abortion without apology’ and then we see middle-aged people that stand outside of clinics peacefully praying and begging young women not to kill their baby.

And by the way, is it necessary to spit on or throw things at a peaceful prayer vigil outside of an abortion clinic? In the last few days, “A homemade incendiary device was thrown at one of the vigil participants, an elderly retired woman, by an assailant – as yet unidentified – as she walked on the public sidewalk near the abortion provider’s premises.”

There are protests that get ugly, not because of what they support, but in how they get their point across. Whatever happened to getting the fly with honey, not vinegar? In other words, we see ultra-liberals on one side of the gulf and conservatives on the other and we’re both trying to coax the women in the Great Gulf to come to ‘our’ side and fight for what’s right.

The studies and surveys that ‘We the People’ get to see are very one sided, taken from the top of the heap of your local Planned Parenthood. Why Planned Parenthood? Because ‘We the People’ paid for it. Besides the liberal junk we hear, we need all of the information, not just part of it. After abortion, no one in the Great Gulf wants to talk about it.

What we do see in newspapers and on television as average citizens regarding the abortion issue is not the whole story. There is a Great Gulf of people – mostly women – that won’t be heard because they are still under the bondage of coercion and shame.

Coercion is a major component of the act of abortion. Statistics say that at least 65% of women felt coercion or were forced to abort. What the average American thinks about that is the boyfriend told her to abort or else. It’s always the ‘boyfriend’. That can’t be further from the truth. Yes, boyfriends coerce – but so does friends, family, television and liberal propaganda, and sometimes (and this grieves me) their Church. Family is the worst offenders of coercive abortion. My mother was my offender. She is still in the Great Gulf also having suffered an abortion.

I remember being told that the crisis pregnancy center would show me pictures and movies to pressure me – to scare me – to abort anyway. And I believed them. THAT is what happens without Informed Consent Laws.

In a crisis situation, all we want as humans is someone to care and say ‘It’s gonna be alright’. It’s like having that dream when you’re being chased and chased and chased, and there’s somebody at every turn trying to hurt you, to kill you….and you finally wake up. With coercive abortion, you are wide awake in your nightmare.

Statistics say that at least 85% of women that aborted regretting their decision almost immediately. THAT is a Great Gulf.

The ultimate selfishness of the right to privacy

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on March 21, 2011

I sent Democrat committee members an email today urging them to vote for HB 125, the Heartbeat Bill in Ohio. I touched on when life begins, when an unborn child’s heart beats for the first time, that abortion kills an unborn child, and that abortion hurts women. This is, in part, the response I got from one of the representatives:

“I understand your concerns and value your opinion on this important issue.  As a health care attorney and former Vice Chair of the Health Committee in the Ohio House of Representatives, women’s health and privacy rights are very important to me.  Recently, several pieces of legislation have been introduced regarding abortion.”

While I really appreciate a personal response, truly I do, but this is not exactly what I was hoping for. Although I do know that finding a prolife Democrat is harder than it looks, it would behoove all of us to know that while we have labels like conservative, liberal, moderate, republican and democrat, that somehow we can do the RIGHT THING to abolish abortion and abolish the selfishness of women that believe their right to privacy is more important than a child’s right to live.

A pregnant woman has a unique individual living within her body for a short period of time. At the time of conception, a child has been given it’s very own DNA blueprint and soon will have his/her own separate finger prints and blood type.

By 18 DAYS this unique person’s heart will beat for the first time. By the 9th week of gestation, he/she will be complete; all he/she will need is nourishment and time to grow until the time to be born.

In the state of Ohio, it is illegal to smoke in public places – PERIOD. Since it has been proven that second hand smoke does cause cancer and can KILL you, it has been determined that people may not smoke around others in a public place thereby keeping others from getting sick and possibly dying. That being said, we can conclude that the state of Ohio intervened on the behalf of others that do not want to die of lung cancer, in this particular case; those that work in restaurants, bars, clubs, etc. This surmises that the state of Ohio is protecting us from second hand smoke that can lead to cancer and perhaps death but a woman can go and kill her unborn child, at any time during gestation, for any reason because she has a RIGHT TO PRIVACY.

The issue of abortion has been brought before the committee regarding HB 125 in a clear manner that not only suggests but enforces one clear fact:

ABORTION KILLS A HUMAN BEING NOT YET BORN. Essentially, you can go to your local abortion clinic and have your unborn baby forcibly torn from your body but you can’t smoke there.

Privacy rights kill children, plain and simple. The only person in the equation that has any rights is the woman. The baby does not have a right to Life and the baby’s father does not have the right to stop the abortion, to stop the death of his own baby.

Privacy rights…privacy rights…KILL.

The Abortion Position in the Denominational Church, part 2

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on March 20, 2011

Continuing with my last post Abortion & Faith in the Church, I asked the question ‘Is the Church ProLife’? NO. There never was a question about Life in the distant past; abortion was never sanctioned even in ‘dire circumstances’ but in the last 38 or more years, it has become a quagmire of relevancy in the Church.

Finding a completely PROLIFE denomination is like trying to swim in a tar pit….you get close but not quite.

Catholic Church: “The Catholic Church has always condemned abortion as a grave evil.” Here’s the problem – the Catholic Church relies on writings other than the Bible to validate their stance on Life. While I am glad of their stance, the Catholic Church’s reasoning with ‘saints’ and other 1st and 2nd century writers instead of the infallible Word of God leaves me empty.

United Church of Christ: “The United Church of Christ has affirmed and re-affirmed since 1971 that access to safe and legal abortion is consistent with a woman’s right to follow the dictates of her own faith and beliefs in determining when and if she should have children…..The United Church of Christ is one of the founding faith groups of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, formed in 1973 as the Religious Coalition for Abortion Rights.”

Lutheran – Missouri Synod: “The sin of willfully aborting a child, except in those very rare situations where it may be necessary to save the life of the mother, is a sinful act, totally contrary to the will of God…..While the emotional arguments for abortion in these [rape & incest] situations might seem compelling, the fact of the matter is that it is wrong to take the life of one innocent victim (the unborn child), and further burden the life of the other victim of these horrible situations, the mother. It is indeed a strange logic that would have us kill an innocent unborn baby for the crime of his father.” Well said.

Judaism: “Reform Judaism understands the original position of the Talmud wherein is described the notion that an abortion should be performed only for the sake of the life of the mother, and even as late as the moment before the head of a baby emerges from the birth canal. However, Reform goes beyond this narrowly defined period and gives sanction to its members (and all others for that matter) to elect to terminate a pregnancy when confronting other circumstances: as a result of rape or incest; when through genetic testing, it is determined that the child to be born will have a disease that will cause death or severe disability, and the parents believe that the impending birth will be an impossible situation for them; and other circumstances.”

Church of God in Christ: While there is no actual position on abortion in the COGIC that I could find, I did come across this nugget – regarding the 2008 election, Rev. Dr. Clenard Childress writes, “Bishop Blake released the ‘fowls of the air’ himself by amending his insightful message with the age-old pro-abortion cliché: ‘I could never vote for a Republican because they don’t do anything for the child once they are here.’ And continued to say, ‘…it was coming from the presiding Bishop of the largest Pentecostal Denomination in America, with a membership of over 6 million people, Saved, Sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost, it was somewhat disturbing. How could the leader of such a prestigious and historic denomination, give such a jaded reason for support of the party which promotes Planned Parenthood, and advocates for the most destructive device in the African American Community since our inception: Abortion! Abortion is a modern day holocaust directly responsible for over 16 million African American deaths since 1973!”

Mormon: “Human life is a sacred gift from God. Elective abortion for personal or social convenience is contrary to the will and the commandments of God. Church members who submit to, perform, encourage, pay for, or arrange for such abortions may lose their membership in the Church…..Those who face such [rape & incest] circumstances should consider abortion only after consulting with their local Church leaders and receiving a confirmation through earnest prayer.”

Let me reiterate…this is not an exhaustive list. Be aware that there are satellite churches of these denominations that are more prolife and more prochoice then their denominational position papers articulate. It’s like trying to hit a moving target. The Church needs to put the issue of Life back in the pulpit.

It seems like there is no real position on the issue of Life being completely protected. You have to wonder, if the Church won’t protect Life, who will? Activists and advocates that care about just one single person whose tiny life is in the balance.

The Abortion Position in the Denominational Church, part 1

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on March 18, 2011

Is the Church ProLife? Not really. There never was a question about Life in the distant past in the Church; abortion was never sanctioned even in ‘dire circumstances’ but in the last 38 or more years, it has become a quagmire of relevancy so that no one is offended.

While at the committee meeting this week, a pastor of a local United Methodist church testified on their stance regarding abortion bemoaning their (lack of) position in NOT banning late term abortion. The pastor said that the UMC is against the death penalty but puts the mother before her own unborn child:

“We oppose the use of late-term abortion known as dilation and extraction (partial-birth abortion) and call for the end of this practice EXCEPT when the physical life of the mother is in danger and no other medical procedure is available, or in the case of severe fetal anomalies incompatible with life……Our belief in the sanctity of unborn human life makes us reluctant to approve abortion. BUT we are equally bound to respect the sacredness of the life and well-being of the mother, for whom devastating damage may result from an unacceptable pregnancy.” UMC.org

That limp-wristed fence-sitting wishy-washy bunch of garbage fueled my search on all (in part today) denominational positions on abortion.

This is coming from the pulpit. Read on.

Assemblies of God: “The legality of abortion in modern cultures is rooted in concepts of individual rights, autonomy, and privacy pushed far beyond scriptural teaching. We therefore expressly deny that this supposed legal “right” automatically confers upon the pregnant woman the moral right to abort her unborn child…..vague threats to the mother’s physical or emotional health must not become an excuse to place the child at risk. Any intervention required must have the intent of saving the mother’s life, not the prior intent of causing death to the child.”

Church of God, Cleveland TN: “BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no individual should ever consid-er abortion as an option EXCEPT in the gravest circumstances, after medical and religious consultation of the most serious nature.”

Evangelical Presbyterian: “The Church must serve as a therapeutic community to those who have experienced physical, emotional, or spiritual wounds from abortion or giving up a child for adoption…..Both individual Christians and the Church should oppose abortion and do everything in their power to provide supportive communities and alternatives to abortion.”

Southern Baptist: “Procreation is a gift from God, a precious trust reserved for marriage. At the moment of conception, a new being enters the universe, a human being, a being created in God’s image. This human being deserves our protection, whatever the circumstances of conception.”

Episcopal Church: As I could not find any Position Papers or the like regarding abortion, I did find this nugget…..“In 1994, the 71st General Convention of the Episcopal Church reaffirmed that all human life is sacred from its inception until death and that all abortion is regarded as having a tragic dimension. “While we acknowledge that in this country it is the legal right of every woman to have a medically safe abortion,” the resolution stated, “as Christians we believe strongly that if this right is exercised, it should be used only in extreme situations. We emphatically oppose abortion as a means of birth control, family planning, sex selection, or any reason of mere convenience.”

“The Rev. Katherine Ragsdale, a member of RCRC’s (Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice) Council of Governors, welcomed the gathering with assurances that the religious community is behind them. “You can’t sustain a movement on outrage,” she said. “We are here to support the [abortion] providers, politicians, women and activists, and let them know that we respect them for their work and their commitment.” Ragsdale, an Episcopal priest, added that a punk rock concert was held in Washington April 24 to enlist young people in the movement.” This is just the TIP OF THE ICEBERG.

Evangelical Lutheran: “A developing life in the womb does not have an absolute right to be born, nor does a pregnant woman have an absolute right to terminate a pregnancy. The concern for both the life of the woman and the developing life in her womb expresses a common commitment to life. This requires that we move beyond the usual “pro-life” versus “pro-choice” language in discussing abortion….. Abortion ought to be an option only of last resort. Therefore, as a church we seek to reduce the need to turn to abortion as the answer to unintended pregnancies.”

American Baptist Church: “American Baptists believe that ministry to persons in situations of crisis pregnancy and abortion is a concern that primarily rests within the local churches….. Many of our membership seek legal safeguards to protect unborn life. Many others advocate for and support family planning legislation, including legalized abortion as in the best interest of women in particular and society in general.”

The moral of this story is to trust God not your denomination, not your friends, not your partner/spouse…opinions are a very human way of trying to be God.

What does God say? Humans are the highest form of God’s creative activity, and He is intentional in both their creation and destiny. We are made in His image, not as an afterthought. We are all known by God before the foundation of the world; unborn, preborn, and born.

The excuse of the dire crisis pregnancy is a very loose defense to abort: Can you look into the eyes of God one day and tell Him you trusted your doctor more than He? God alone can determine Life’s beginning and ending. We are entirely too human to decide such a thing; we are not perfect though God is.

Let God be God.

Data versus Pseudoscience

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on March 15, 2011

A prochoicer wrote, “When wishes trump science, when desire pushes data aside, pseudoscience reigns.” It is their wish that we Prolifers would just go away while the holocaust continues.

Yep…and if horses were wishes, beggars would ride.

Ironically, I got this from a guy that says there is no science data regarding the abortion/breast cancer link and Post Abortion Stress Syndrome. For one thing, he is WRONG.

Let’s be scientific specific: If a woman experiences a ‘spontaneous’ abortion, she actually had what is commonly called a ‘miscarriage’. In this scenario, the woman’s body knows before she does that her baby will not survive. However, when a surgical or medical abortion is obtained, the ‘doctor’ has stopped the woman’s body from being pregnant to being not pregnant thus throwing her hormones into a tornado-like effect inside her body. Her body is now in a kind of state of ‘shock’ from the procedure and is trying to keep up with trying to get back to normal. In this process, breast tissue is particularly affected.

Getting back to pseudoscience…

Incredibly, prochoicers are the worst offenders of this ‘practice’ of conjuring up ‘data’. For instance, while researching Post Abortion Stress Syndrome, it’s blatantly obvious where they get their ‘data’…from participating abortion facilities. Their data says, “There is no such thing as Post Abortion Stress Syndrome – even after two years women do not have symptoms and most do not regret their decision to abort”.

It would take me ten minutes to conjure up a bunch of young women that are card carrying feminists that have aborted and don’t care that they took the life of an unborn child.

A nice bit of brainwashing, eh? The last ‘study’ I read about not only said women must have been nuts before their abortion to be nuts after it, but also pointed to women that had children that have the same issues. According to THEM, having children at all makes us crazy. And by THEM I mean so-called scholars and experts in Europe, not the United States. Again, PSEUDOSCIENCE.

Women that are Post Abortive almost always regret the choice that they made. They are sorrowful and full of grief and shame and they are scared to death to talk about it. It’s their ‘dirty little secret’ that no one knows but them. It takes YEARS to come out of the closet and talk about it. Stigma is a foul stench.

There are stacks of real data regarding Post Abortion Stress Syndrome, reams and reams of it. A great source is the Elliot Institute as well as many others. What I really like about the Elliot Institute is that they cite every data source; no lying, no junk, no pseudoscience.

To all of my Post Abortive friends, there is real data and real stories, just like yours and mine. We are not alone.

We are in need of healing & vision

Posted by Rev. K.H. Marple on March 12, 2011

Sen. Rand Paul said it was ‘appalling’ and ‘hypocritical’ for the Obama administration to “favor a woman’s right to an abortion but you don’t favor a woman or a man’s right to choose what kind of light bulb, what kind of dishwasher, what kind of washing machine.” The asinine rhetoric from the Obama White House is just pathetic. I have never seen anyone cave as quickly as Obama can. He’ll fund Planned Parenthood but people that depend on Social Security don’t get a yearly raise? SERIOUSLY? Priorities are that messed up?

Think of it: since abortion became law, there have been 50+ million that would have paid taxes, had mortgages, bought groceries, sent children to college, had businesses, etc. EXPERTS say that all of these ‘unwanted pregnancies’ would be a burden on society and the government but the reality is that our economy is as bad as it is because these ‘unwanted pregnancies’ are not monetarily contributing to the economy.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.”

  • As horrific as the 9/11 attack was, even more lives were lost to abortion that day. There is no memorial for them; there are no fund raisers, no named foundation created…only death.
  • When Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, no one knew how bad the devastation and death that would occur; it was an unfathomable thing that came and went taking lives with it. About 2000 people died, but that same day 3700-4000 Americans died and it didn’t even make the news.
  • How many more commercials do I have to watch about homeless pets when unborn children die at a rate of over 1.4 million per year in these United States in abortion mills that are as disgusting as animal shelters?
  • A minor girl that is not old enough to drive a car, get married, vote or defend her country can obtain a judge’s approval – judicial bypass - to abort her child without her parents knowledge.

God gave King David the vision for the Temple; it was his son Solomon that completed it.

Creating a legacy – heritage – takes a lifetime and may not be seen in my lifetime. In other words, planting good seed is far more important than forcing a crop that may not be strong enough to come to harvest. The vision God gave me seems like a million years from being reality but I had to come to the conclusion that I may not see the final product. This doesn’t keep me from doing everything I can to make it happen, I just have to be okay with the results as I get them.

Seeing an end to abortion is attainable and on the horizon. One day all of this bickering and bullying to have the right to abort a living human will be a distant memory. I do hope to see it in my lifetime, but if I don’t, I want to make a way for someone who will.

The pre-game of the BIG show and the bits and pieces of stuff worth noting.

What a day! I got to see our tax dollars at work. I have never been to the state capitol building. While listening to the testimony of the prochoice side, I had a chance to write a few notes on my phone – mostly because I forgot my notepad.

I met some incredible prolife people and heard some great testimony that included a doctor, a businessman that explained how abortion hurts the economy, Walter Weber – Senior Litigation Counsel for the American Center for Law & Justice, abortion survivor Melissa Ohden, Dr. Willke from International and National Right to Life, Janet Porter of Faith2Action and her assistant Katelyn, VP of Warren County Right to Life Lori Viars, State Rep. Wachtmann who sponsors HB125 – the Heartbeat Bill. I cannot emphasize enough how impressed and honored I was being surrounded by such prolife pillars.

I kept in mind that Ohio is a major swing state in America and is paramount during election time. That being said, I am aware of how important this legislation is in the big picture. Being a part of this was like a drug…I LOVED IT.

First (this is not prolife related), my husband and I overheard the state patrolmen in the rotunda wondering what will happen to their benefits because of the newly passed bill, the SB5 (a bill designed to restrict collective bargaining by state employees). Again, this is to keep taxpaying Ohioans that can’t pay their own medical bills from paying union state workers benefits and their ex-right to strike and hold us hostage. I heard a small business owner on the news saying, “I can’t pay for my own Social Security and Medicare so why should I HAVE to pay for state workers?”

As for my notes on prochoice testimony, here goes!

One of the first people that testified was a man complaining that we are taking all of this out of context regarding tax money paying for abortions…interesting, kind of, mostly because we all know about the Hyde Amendment to keep that from happening but through an accounting slight-of-hand, NO TAX MONEY EVER PAYS FOR ABORTION!!  I am so glad he cleared that up for us!

I have to wonder, how does a lesbian have an opinion on abortion? Enough said. If you were there, you’d know exactly what I’m talking about. She had the nerve to show video ‘testimony’ of a woman (her face was hidden) whose child died right after birth. I’m not getting what this has to do with abortion. Anyone? While on NARAL of Ohio’s sight, I saw some serious typos. Brilliant.

Is abortion kosher? A woman representing Jewish prochoice, which I have never heard of, said that they don’t know when life really begins and that it is a Jewish woman’s right to abort if need be – this woman made the analogy of how Jewish women want control of their own family planning. Read this from aish.com and see for yourself:

“As a general rule, abortion in Judaism is permitted only if there is a direct threat to the life of the mother by carrying the fetus to term or through the act of childbirth. In such a circumstance, the baby is considered tantamount to a rodef, a pursuer after the mother with the intent to kill her. Nevertheless, as explained in the Mishna, if it would be possible to save the mother by maiming the fetus, such as by amputating a limb, abortion would be forbidden. Despite the classification of the fetus as a pursuer, once the baby’s head or most of its body has been delivered, the baby’s life is considered equal to the mother’s, and we may not choose one life over another, because it is considered as though they are both pursuing each other.”

Well, I’d say that is the stupidest thing I’ve ever read. Also, keep in mind that Jewish women make up for 3% of all abortions, which means that the estimate of Jews abortion since 1973 would be nearly 2 million people, just slightly lower than the 6 million Jews that Hitler killed.

She also mentioned that there is a ‘gross abuse of power’ given to the government to pass such a law that would take away women’s rights! I’d say that the upper hand here is that women have been brain washed to the point of believing that taxpaying Americans are calling the shots to hinder them from doing whatever they want to their body….REALLY? Have we kept you down? Kept you from intentionally murdering your unborn child? I’d say not….actually, women like her help pass laws that allow minor girls to cross state lines, without their parents consent, to get an abortion. AND judges have said that they allow nearly everyone of those girls permission to abort. Keep in mind these little girls aren’t old enough to drive, vote or defend our country. But they can kill their unborn child. This woman also mentioned that the unborn child has no right to religious freedom, thus opening the door to ‘religion’ during testimony. PERFECT! This is right up my alley. If you want to know when Life begins, read your Bible – not the Torah, the BIBLE. After all, scripture balances scripture.

Another woman testified about how these bills are detrimental to women’s healthcare. Interesting…I had no idea women’s health was from the waist down! Again, thanks for clearing that up for me! Women are nothing but a uterus and ovaries? Really? Is there really any medical reason for abortion? Do you want to see your child in Heaven one day and say that you trusted your doctor’s advice and not GOD?

AND THEN THE CHERRY ON MY CAKE OF THE DAY: State Rep. Antonio actually said, out of her own mouth – that it’s okay if some unborn babies die. Really. Not anymore. With every last breath I have, I will do whatever it takes to unravel Roe.

Well, this was quite a day for me and my husband. It was eye opening, it was rejuvenating, and it was amazing!
