Why do you want Barabbas?

Jesus is perfect – in a fallen world perfection is unattainable. We are always to be more like Jesus but we cannot be perfect, but we can be holier.

Voting for a liberal, a third party candidate or not voting at all because Mitt Romney isn’t perfect enough for you makes you no different than who crucified our LORD. Why do you want Barabbas?

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. The governor answered and said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” (Matthew 27:20-21)

The intrusion of our fundamental rights, the intrusion into our homes and families from the government will only get much, much worse if Obama wins a second term. This HHS mandate is only the beginning to what is an eventual fall of our great country. Instead of fighting on the battlefield in hand to hand combat, we are instead shadow boxing an agenda that is gaining ground in the battlefield that was the sanctity our home and church.

They said, “Barabbas!” Pilate said to them, “What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” (Matthew 27:22)

How did abortion and contraception become the idols of the Liberal Left? This is their Doctrine: weed out the weeds, power to the people, make love not war – a damnable doctrine that is leading us into a dark world and breaking what was once our right to think on our own.

They all said to him, “Let Him be crucified!” (Matthew 27:22)

Barabbas. Vote for the thief and crucify what is good and holy.

When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it.”

And all the people answered and said, “His blood be on us and on our children.(Matthew 27: 24-25)

Why do you want Barabbas?

FOCA, under their breath

Not all Democrats are on board with the new healthcare reform legislation. A bipartisan group says healthcare reform must include an explicit ban on the use of taxpayer money for abortions to prevent them from increasing as a result of the legislation.

Pro-life is no abortion, EVER, for any reason.
Pro-life is no abortion, EVER, for any reason.

From The Columbus Dispatch:  In a separate letter (regarding higher taxes for small businesses to fund the healthcare legislation) to Pelosi last month, Driehaus and Rep. Marcy Kaptur of Toledo  (Ohio) joined 17 other House Democrats to warn that they would oppose a health-care bill that requires the federal government to pay for abortions through Medicaid.

“The Obama administration has been attempting to smuggle into law the greatest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade, and the statement is significant because they’re starting to be fleshed out on what they’re up to,” said Douglas Johnson, legislative director for the National Right to Life Committee.

From The Hill:  “The legislation doesn’t specifically mention abortion,” said Adam Sonfield, senior public policy associate at the pro-choice Guttmacher Institute. While the bill would give the secretary of Health and Human Services (Kathleen Sebelius) some power over which health benefits insurers must provide, it’s not clear that the Obama administration would force insurers to cover abortion, Sonfield said. He noted that Democrats don’t seem to have the appetite to overturn the Hyde Amendment, an issue that has been fought over for more than three decades.

Now we know better than that – little by little we are being force fed the Freedom of Choice Act one morsel at a time. ‘Doesn’t specifically mention abortion’, ‘not clear it would force insurers to cover abortion’…Democrats really do think they are smarter than the average bear. Trying to placate the American Citizen is just pitiful. And since Kathleen Sebelius is going to have some pull, you know that abortion WILL be covered, probably as a memorial to her good friend Dr. George Tiller – he died for the ‘cause’, you know.

Private insurers are holding their breath – do they have to cover abortion? They’ve never had to cover elective procedures before, have they? Oh, that’s right….it’s all about the mother’s strain on her health and life. It is taxing on a person to murder your own unborn child. So this procedure would not be considered elective, it would be preventative just like any reproductive health care.

‘Abortion-rights advocates dismissed the notion that the healthcare bill would automatically lead to an increase in abortions and public abortion funding.’ Again, the legislation does not specifically mention abortion, does it? That’s the Freedom of Choice Act, under their breath.

Tuesday isn’t over yet…

From the Topeka Capital-Journal:  The Senate launched debate Tuesday in advance of a final vote on the nomination of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius as secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  Democrats praised Sebelius’ political experience in Kansas and her bipartisan sensibilities, while Republicans focused on the governor’s support of abortion rights, her support for national health care and mistakes she made on her tax return. One GOP senator said Sebelius’ tolerance of late-term abortion should disqualify her from leading HHS.

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla, said during the Senate debate that Sebelius’ position on abortion was a “fatal” flaw that should lead to rejection of her nomination. Still, he said there was no doubt Sebelius had enough support in the Democratic-led Senate to be confirmed…..“She lacks some of the moral clarity that is required to lead this nation,” he said. “I believe she has a drastic and fatal character flaw.”

Moral clarity? You don’t need no stinkin’ moral clarity if you are in the Obama Party! All you need is a love for trees, whales and the ozone and hate God, unborn children and under-performing American Citizens.

DEFECTOR!  Senator Arlen Specter goes to the other side:

“Whatever my party affiliation, I will continue to be guided by President Kennedy’s statement that sometimes party asks too much. When it does, I will continue my independent voting and follow my conscience on what I think is best for Pennsylvania and America.”

Well, that being said, why in the world would you go to the other side when you vote in an independent manner, anyway? Do the Dems have a better retirement plan? No, read on:

“Let’s be honest — Sen. Specter didn’t leave the GOP based on principles of any kind,” RNC Chair Michael Steele said in a statement. “He left to further his personal political interests because he knew that he was going to lose a Republican primary due to his left-wing voting record.”

Classic. What a sleazebag. This is a guy that would sell out his own mother…a PERFECT Obama Party member! Here are his highlights on abortion:

  • Voted NO on defining unborn child as eligible for SCHIP. (Mar 2008)
  • Voted NO on prohibiting minors crossing state lines for abortion. (Mar 2008)
  • Voted NO on barring HHS grants to organizations that perform abortions. (Oct 2007)
  • Voted YES on expanding research to more embryonic stem cell lines. (Apr 2007)
  • Voted NO on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions. (Jul 2006)
  • Voted NO on $100M to reduce teen pregnancy by education & contraceptives. (Mar 2005)
  • Voted YES on criminal penalty for harming unborn fetus during other crime. (Mar 2004)
  • Voted YES on banning partial birth abortions except for maternal life. (Mar 2003)
  • Voted NO on maintaining ban on Military Base Abortions. (Jun 2000)
  • Voted YES on banning partial birth abortions. (Oct 1999)
  • Voted NO on banning human cloning. (Feb 1998)
  • Rated 21% by NARAL, indicating a pro-life voting record. (Dec 2003)
  • Expand embryonic stem cell research. (Jun 2004)
  • Rated 0% by the NRLC, indicating a pro-choice stance. (Dec 2006)
  • Protect the reproductive rights of women. (Jan 1993)

There you go…a new Democrat has been birthed. And just in time for the vote!

But it’s my party!

From the Wichita Eagle:

Kansas Sen. Sam Brownback could be waffling a bit in his support for Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to run the Health and Human Services Department. Congressional Quarterly reports that the Republican lawmaker plans to think more about his endorsement in light of her veto Thursday of late-term abortion legislation.

“It makes it harder and harder,” Brownback, an abortion opponent, told the magazine.  In Brownback’s case, he is one of the Republican Party’s leading social conservatives and has been under pressure from that wing to disavow his support of the Democratic governor.

What about George?

Though Sebelius has a reputation for working across party lines, she is anathema to abortion opponents because she supports abortion rights. They’re especially put off by her association with George Tiller, who operates an abortion clinic in Wichita and has been a political contributor.

Tiller, one of the few U.S. doctors to perform late-term abortions, is under investigation by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts for allegedly violating state abortion law again and again.

Republican Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina and Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele have called upon President Obama to withdraw her nomination.

But it’s my party! The Obama party. I’m beginning to see how it is an entity of it’s own (hmm…should write about that).

“I am grateful for the bipartisan support I have received so far in the Senate,” the Democratic governor said. “I hope senators will see fit to approve my nomination as secretary.”

Bipartisan? Interesting – must be a new term for baby killers.

Not as easy as it looked.

From the Topeka Capital-Journal:

Republicans put the brakes Thursday on Senate confirmation of Gov. Kathleen Sebelius as secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s objections could push to next week a vote by the full Senate on President Barack Obama’s choice for HHS. The Kentucky Republican said senators needed more time to consider her “fairly contentious” selection.

The action by GOP senators will require Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., to invoke Senate procedures requiring 60 votes to break the filibuster. Democrats say they have the necessary votes to force a final vote and confirm Sebelius. Roberts and fellow Kansas Sen. Sam Brownback, also a Republican, endorsed Sebelius’ nomination for the Cabinet post at HHS. Both have been under pressure from anti-abortion organizations to drop their support for the governor.

Oh, the comments! (this is the fun part)

“The flip side is if they defeat her she stays in Kansas. What a choice.”

“We have already started a fund to help her move…”

“You got what you wanted, an abortion loving Christian bashing tax and spend president who hates the rich and never met a tinhorn dictator he didn’t want to bow down to. You should be happy. It’s our turn to be the outraged displaced disenfranchised political minority.”

“Thank heavens! Why in the world would anyone want a woman who clearly has an ABORTION agenda and cannot tell the truth about who contributes to her war chest in charge of anything anyway! Oh right – I forgot – those are required traits if you are an Obama dem! That and “forgetting” to pay your taxes!!”

“Just because she has been around, like a bad rash, does not make her a sensible choice to head HHS.”

“How is it when you are a Christan and have an opinion, it’s shoving “religion” down everyone’s throats? Even if you never bring God up-oh-and you must automatically be a Republican, and bomb abortion clinics on the weekends?”

The people of Kansas have spoken.

This is kind of a lynching to get her out of Kansas and down our throats. Nice….real nice. She’s not out of Kansas yet! Click your heels three times and say….’There’s no place like home…there’s no place like home…”

Just watch out for the house…it’s about to fall ya…

Aren’t we the stand-up gal.

This bit of ‘measure’ for late-term abortion means nothing.

Topeka, Kansas- A spokeswoman for Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius says she is still reviewing a bill dealing with late-term abortions. Sebelius has until Thursday to deal with the measure. She has a strong record of supporting abortion rights.

The measure is described by anti-abortion members as an attempt to strengthen enforcement of existing restrictions on late-term procedures. Critics say the bill is really an attempt to restrict access to abortion. Sebelius spokeswoman Beth Martino said the governor is reviewing the bill thoroughly.

The bill imposes more detailed reporting requirements on doctors who perform late-term abortions. Also, if a woman or girl came to believe her late-term abortion was illegal, then she, her husband or parents could sue the doctor for damages.

Of course I have two cents….

This pathetic bill means NOTHING to the lives of babies that hang in the balance in the state of Kansas and/or regarding late-term abortion and the ‘doctor’ that performs them. All that it will do is protect the ‘doctor’. Nice job protecting your friend Dr. Tiller.

Then there’s the Obama ‘Death-Machine’…

From FoxNews.com:  Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius won a divided Senate panel’s approval Tuesday to be confirmed as secretary of health and human services in the Obama administration.

The Finance Committee voted 15 to 8 to send the Sebelius nomination to the full Senate for a final vote.

The committee vote came after several Republicans voiced concerns about Sebelius’ ties to a late-term abortion doctor in her home state. The GOP also questioned her commitment to ensuring that the government doesn’t try to interfere with the doctor-patient relationship.

Too bad…that’s just too bad.  Now I know she’s not nominated YET, however this proves what a dangerous administration we have….this is just the tip of the iceberg.

You really can’t fix stupid.

Stupider? YEP.

From Washington:  A Senate committee has scheduled a vote for Tuesday on President Barack Obama’s nominee for health and human services secretary, Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius….The Senate Finance Committee will vote on sending Sebelius’ nomination to the full Senate. She’s expected to win confirmation despite concerns raised by anti-abortion activists in recent days over campaign money she got from a Kansas abortion doctor.

Lawmakers want Sebelius in place quickly as they get to work on legislation overhauling the nation’s costly health care system….Sebelius is Obama’s second choice for health secretary after former Senate Democratic leader Tom Daschle withdrew in a tax controversy.

Well then. Apparently the cost of human lives really does mean nothing to the Government.

Obama, Pelosi & Biden

Oklahoma is OK; Sebelius won’t go away.

This is an interesting turn on injury or death to the unborn…read on from FoxNews.com:

‘Oklahoma state lawmakers passed the Use of Force for the Protection of the Unborn Act this week and if the Senate approves it in a final vote, as expected, it will be sent to the governor’s desk. This bill allows pregnant women to use deadly force to protect their unborn children.’

Senator Glenn Coffee
Senator Glenn Coffee

The article goes on to say – ‘Pregnant women who refuse to abort their child are too often attacked by their partner in an effort to force a miscarriage,” said state Rep. Mike Thompson, who co-authored the bill after Americans United for Life asked him. “Women put in this position should have the legal right to defend themselves, with lethal force if necessary.”

The bill came about after a Michigan woman who was carrying quads stabbed and killed her boyfriend after he hit her in the stomach. The woman lost the babies and was convicted of manslaughter.

“Unfortunately, the unborn child is often the primary target of domestic violence,” State Senator Glenn Coffee said in a statement. “Domestic violence has been acknowledged as a primary cause of stillbirths and miscarriages.”

And then there’s Kathleen Sebelius…again.

From the AP:  Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius stepped around potential land mines on abortion and her own tax errors Thursday as she testified at a hearing en route to her expected confirmation as health and human services secretary….Sebelius was not asked any questions about abortion, an issue that’s caused loud complaints from conservative groups angered about her vetoes of some abortion restrictions and the presence of a prominent abortion doctor, Dr. Tiller, at a reception at the governor’s residence.

kathleen-sebeliusNor was Sebelius asked about what she has called “unintentional errors” related to charitable deductions, mortgage interest and business expenses on her most recent tax returns. She has paid nearly $8,000 in taxes and penalties.

Sebelius had the backing of both of Kansas’ Republican senators, Pat Roberts and Sam Brownback – the latter a strong anti-abortion figure – and no senator raised abortion on Thursday or during a hearing Tuesday before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.

How can any republican back an extreme EMILY’s List Democrat? Can you say ‘personal gain’?

And the winner for HHS Secretary is…

…a democrat that actually paid their taxes!

Is there a Democrat, in these United States, that actually pays the taxes they owe? On time? Anyone? Anyone?

Regardless that Mr. & Mrs. Sebelius knew that they would be found out trying to take deductions that they knew were incorrect. Such as:

  • Charitable contributions over $250 are supposed to include an acknowledgment letter from the charity in order for a deduction to be taken. Out of 49 charitable contributions made, three letters couldn’t be found.
  • Sebelius and her husband sold their home in 2006 and then took a mistaken deduction for mortgage interest.
  • Insufficient documentation was found for some business expense deductions.

I am not a rocket scientist…but I do know how to hire an accountant to prepare taxes. So, what genius prepared their taxes in the first place? Apparently they knew they were in hot water or they would not have hired someone to check on the last three years returns:   ‘In her letter to Baucus and the top Finance Committee Republican, Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Sebelius wrote that the errors were discovered after she and her husband, Gary, a federal magistrate judge in Kansas, hired an accountant to review her returns in preparation for her confirmation hearing.’  Read the article here.

People that want to run our country can’t run their own home or take care of their own finances.

My head hurts.
