Dr. George Tiller has performed over 6oK abortions. From Ms. Magazine:
Every year, several hundred desperate women from across the country and around the world find their way to Dr. Tiller’s bunker like clinic. Dr. Tiller fills a niche that few other doctors would envy but that he is passionately committed to serving: He regularly performs late-second- and third-term abortions for women who are ill, have been raped, are the victims of incest or are carrying fetuses that suffer from genetic abnormalities. Not surprisingly, Tiller has been the target of vociferous anti-abortion protests for years and has come into the cross-hairs of violent extremists. His clinic was bombed in 1986, and in 1993 he was shot six times at point-blank range by Rachelle “Shelley” Shannon, an anti-abortion terrorist associated with the Army of God.
From Physicians for Reproductive Choice and Health:
ARLINGTON, VA, March 19, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Notorious partial-birth abortion specialist Dr. George Tiller of Wichita, KS, was caught on hidden video admitting to aborting babies a day before the mother’s due date.
From Fox News:
Dr. Tiller is one of very few physicians in the United States who perform late-term abortions. He has been shot; his clinic has been bombed; and for more than two years, he lived under the eye of a federal marshal. Yet Dr. Tiller continues to provide late-term abortions. He also has lectured throughout the United States, Australia, Canada, and Europe on the policies, procedures, and protocol of late-term abortions.
Kansas-based Operation Rescue says it will launch a full-out campaign against Sebelius because, as governor, she has had the support of Dr. George Tiller, who has been indicted for allegedly performing late-term abortions on underage girls. “Kathleen Sebelius’ involvement in Kansas abortion scandals and her indebtedness to the corrupt abortion lobby makes her unfit to serve. We urge our supporters to begin contacting their senators now to voice opposition to Sebelius’ confirmation,” said Operation Rescue Chief Troy Newman.
The center of the American abortion industry is the state of Kansas. This comes as a surprise to many, since Kansans tend to be simple, down-to-earth, conservative people—the kind that one would least expect to find inside the walls of an abortion clinic. Of all the states in this country, why Kansas? What makes Kansas special when it comes to abortion? The answer is simple: Kansas is home to George Tiller, the most prolific late-term abortionist in the entire western world. Since 1973, George Tiller—or “Dr. Tiller”, as he likes to call himself—has performed thousands upon thousands of late-term abortions. He is renowned among the pro-choice community for his impeccable record of safety: unlike some abortionists, he has yet to kill a woman in the process of terminating a pregnancy. His apparent skill as an abortion practitioner has won him numerous awards, including the National Abortion Federation’s highest honor, the Christopher Tietze Humanitarian Award.
Prosecutors allege that the doctor he used for a second opinion — Ann Kristin Neuhaus — had improper legal and financial ties to Tiller, noting it being her only income at the time.
Kansas law allows abortions after a fetus can survive outside the womb only if two independent doctors agree that it is necessary to save a women’s life or prevent “substantial and irreversible” harm to “a major bodily function,” a phrase that’s been interpreted to include mental health.
He needs to be behind bars with the rest of the psychopathic serial killers. But I wish him Jesus.
