Has everyone conveniently forgotten how evil this man was? He killed children for a living. His ‘church’ wanted his money bad enough to allow him membership, which other members should have taken exception to.
“He was an elder in his church.” So were the Pharisees – sinners condemned to Hell not having the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ but know how to be very spiritual and religious . Instead, he is shoulder to shoulder with Hitler.
“He was a great man,” said the medical assistant, who did not want to be named out of concern for her safety. “It isn’t for any of us walking around Earth to pass judgment.” Okay, Miss Not-To-Be-Named, blood is on your hands, too. And, knowledge of God will not save you.
His clinic, Miriam Kleiman said, allowed her baby to die “with dignity.” Because this baby, in it’s 28th week of gestation, was not perfect…’malformed’.
Case in point 1. Christin Gilbert, a 19-year-old woman with Down Syndrome from Keller, Texas, died in January 2005 after a multi-day abortion procedure performed at Tiller’s facility. Gilbert had been 28 weeks pregnant. The autopsy stated that Gilbert died ofsepis following the abortion. Tiller was cleared of any wrongdoing by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts. After a petition from Operation Rescue, a grand jury was convened to probe the death, which resulted in no indictments against Tiller.
However…
Kansans for Life: “We value life, completely deplore violence, and are shocked and very upset by what happened in Wichita today.”
Case in point 2. According to reporting data provided to the Kansas Board of Healing Arts for the year 1998, all of the post-viable “partial-birth” (dilation and extraction) abortion procedures performed in Kansas during that year were performed because “the attending physician believed that continuing the pregnancy [would] constitute a substantial and irreversible impairment of the patient’s mental function.” Tiller responded to O’Reilly’s statements by demanding an investigation into the “inside source” through which the information was leaked, suggesting that Phill Kline, then the Kansas Attorney General, was responsible. Kline denied the charge. Bill O’Reilly also interviewed a woman who got pregnant when she was 13 and had her fetus aborted by Dr. Tiller.
Operation Rescue: “Operation Rescue has worked for years through peaceful, legal means, and through the proper channels to see him brought to justice. We denounce vigilantism and the cowardly act that took place this morning.”
Kansas Coalition for Life: “….we do know for certain that this crime was NOT the work of any true proLife person. A true proLife person respects human life as a gift from God, and leaves all life and death decisions to God Himself.”
Bishop Michael O. Jackels: “Many Catholics have over the years engaged in peaceful protest outside of Dr. Tiller’s clinic, praying for an end to abortion, and especially late-term abortions; I have on occasion joined them for this purpose. This position and hope cannot however serve as a justification for committing other sins and crimes, like the willful destruction of property and, even worse, murder.”
Okay, okay…one more quote! “Dr. Tiller is dead by an anti-abortion assassin, and this is the absolutely inevitable consequence of 35 years of anti-abortion fanatic rhetoric and intimidation and assassination violence and exploitation by the Republican Party of this movement,” Dr. Warren Hern told the Colorado Independent. Dr. Hern is yet another late-term child killer.
It would seem to me that if you are in a particular line of work that you need guards, guns, attorneys and paid-for politicians, you should probably consider another career. It’s too late for Tiller, but not for the rest of the ‘movement’. I have posed this question numerous times….good ‘doctor’, would you abort your own child or grandchild under ANY circumstances? Would you die for the right to do it?
