If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, is it a duck? Not necessarily. Let me explain:

Here I am, back in Ohio for a brief visit at my sister’s, and because I am a HUMAN, I get a little homesick and maybe a bit forlorn for what my husband and I consider ‘home’. It smells good, not as hot, pleasant, familiar, family….but just as quickly as that crossed my mind, the Holy Spirit instantly rebukes my behaviour and tells me, “You (me and Joe) are purposed where you are. This is your mission field, this is your ministry until I say otherwise”, and that was before I stepped foot over the state line.6a00d83451fc5a69e200e5508515198834-800wi

YIKES. It isn’t always a duck. I see the devil for what he is….a LIAR. Maybe I’m getting better at this, but I saw the trap as easily as you can see your hand in front of your face.

I live a mission field everyday. God has seen to it that we  have very little and essentially no debt so that we can do this mission for Him. I  never would have thought that I would be chosen for such a thing, that I was important enough to Him to do this. I am in awe of it all and I thank Him for it. I have to say…this flesh of mine is definitely alive and well. And with all of the wonderful things that  tantalizes my senses here in Ohio, I still see a deadness in Spirit in this place. It’s kind of like the Lord saying, “What have you done for Me lately?”

Think about what you have done and what you have intention for and what you will actually do, for Him, TODAY. My husband and I have been chosen to do this thing for God, and most of the time we have no idea what it is, but like Moses, we have to roam the desert for awhile until we SEE.

I mean, isn’t it enough that Jesus died for you? Isn’t that enough to do something for Him? What have you done for Him lately?  Luke 8:19-21 says…

…19Then his mother and his brothers came to him, but they could not reach him because of the crowd. 20And he was told, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, desiring to see you.” 21But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.” – ESV.
