From the Indy Star: “The National Organization for Women, meeting in Indianapolis on Saturday, elected Maryland’s Terry O’Neill as its president. The NOW was founded in 1966 and is a major advocacy group against sexism, racism and homophobia.”
The homophobia is interesting to me, I don’t remember lesbianism being a part of NOW back in the sixties because that was not their cause at the time, at least not their ‘public cause’. It was all about equality with men particularly in the work place. This is a perfect example of how the actual agenda quietly oozes out eventually…watch what organization you give to, you never really know until you really research it.
Getting back to the story…this statement was so stupid that I just couldn’t help repeating it:
The new Prez Terry O’Neill said, “Conscience clauses, where pharmacists refuse birth control sales because it’s against their conscience, must go. Guess what? Women have a constitutional right to birth control,” she said. “There is no constitutional right to be a pharmacist.”
OH REALLY. Not only was that a STUPID remark, but just plain funny. Well, no flies on you, MS. O’Neill! And here’s your new commander in chief, NOW…and she has apparently not read the Constitution…EVER. She’ll be real busy bullying the American public with her agenda rather than to actually read something that she intends to try to change. If she’s that inept, imagine the rest of them…yikes.
As an abused wife (she claims), that would qualify her as the new president? “My experience with domestic violence, as an abused wife left me humiliated and embarrassed. I only began to talk about this publicly five years ago as I realized that to keep quiet was to continue the abuse. I want to empower women and telling my story does just that,” she said…..OKAY…and that has to do with lesbianism and abortion and contraceptives…???
AND, why be so ‘in-yer-face’about abortion and contraception if you are representing a people that have chosen not to reproduce? I’m pretty darned sure that a lesbian couple cannot get pregnant; YOU NEED MEN TO REPRODUCE. And don’t get me started with in vitro. That’s a whole other ‘life’ article….
