Finally, the Heartbeat Bill (HB125) got its day on the floor and was passed by 54-43. I am honored to have been a part of the process and testifying on behalf of the HB125 last March. It’s not over yet; the bill now has to go to the Ohio Senate.
There was a lot of hard work involved with this bill thus far, by women. While watching the debate and eventual vote earlier, democrat after democrat bemoaned equality with the sexes. Somehow, equality has something to do with being able to legally murder an unborn child. As stupid as that sounds, and it does, these people on the other side of the aisle brought up that men have historically made more money than women, someone’s mother wasn’t able to get a loan in 1964 because she’s a woman…and how does that have anything to do with abortion? You guessed it…NOTHING. It all sounded like a ‘You’ve come a long way baby’ cigarette ad from the 1970’s. Women ‘birthed’ this bill to prevent women from making the biggest mistake of their lives – killing their unborn child due to a temporary, unfortunate and fixable circumstance.
What confuses so many people about the prolife movement is that women are against it. And they’re usually Democrats, atheists, single women – even more confusing is how many lesbians are involved in the slaughter of unborn Life. Not one of those women that debated against the Heartbeat Bill has any direct knowledge of what abortion actually is because they have never had an abortion and never will.
The issue of constitutionality with the HB125 is how this bill will impede the doctor-patient relationship and its right to privacy. Let me assure you of one thing: Most women getting an abortion MEET their doctor 5 minutes, if that, before the procedure. AND most women do not know nor remember the doctor’s name after the procedure.
Another confusing issue with the Heartbeat Bill is that Ohio Right to Life would not support it. I find it reprehensible and irresponsible that an association that ‘says’ they are dedicated to Life would do something so STUPID. This is why KeepLifeLegal will not directly associate with another entity that says they are prolife: KeepLifeLegal is profoundly prolife for ALL LIFE from the moment of conception to natural death. KeepLifeLegal is an Evangelistic work to bring all to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ that all may know Him as Saviour who has and will forever ordain Life:
‘The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have LIFE, and that they may have it more abundantly’.
Roe v. Wade is within shooting distance.
