“House Bill 390 cleared the House Regulatory and Public Affairs Committee on a vote of 4-3, with Republicans in support of it and Democrats opposed…..It goes next to the House Judiciary Committee….It’s part of a renewed push this year by abortion opponents who are buoyed by the Republican takeover of the state House in the November elections….The legislation would ban abortions in or after the 20th week of pregnancy…..Some late-term procedures can take up to five days to perform and cost many thousands of dollars.” Read the rest here.
Most people do not know that Albuquerque is the late-term abortion capital of America, maybe the world. In Albuquerque, women and girls can abort UP TO TERM regardless of the circumstances of the pregnancy.
New Mexico does not have waiting periods or parental consent laws like most states currently have. Women and girls are given no options the day of their appointment other than to abort that day.
Up-to-term abortionist Susan Robinson is one of handful of abortionists who support killing up to term in New Mexico; read an interview of how she defends killing perfectly healthy nearly to term babies here. Everything about up-to-term abortion is disturbing – takes up to five days to ‘perform’, the inhuman methods, costs thousands of dollars, etc. Many times the baby does not ‘come out’ whole:
“Abortions performed after 20 weeks gestation, when not done by induction of labor (which leads to fetal death due to prematurity), are most commonly performed by dilation and evacuation (D & E) procedures. These particularly gruesome surgical techniques involve crushing, dismemberment and removal of a fetal body from a woman’s uterus, mere weeks before, or even after, the fetus reaches a developmental age of potential viability outside the mother. In some cases, especially when the fetus is past the stage of viability, the abortion may involve administration of a lethal injection into the fetal heart in utero to ensure that the fetus is not pulled out alive or with the ability to survive.” Read the rest of the report from the Lozier Institute here.
Women come from all over the world to kill their nearly-to-term babies in Albuquerque, most recently from the United Kingdom a young woman traveled with her rabid pro-abortion father by her side who was pressuring her to have the abortion at 30 weeks. Read the rest of her story here. Sadly, she aborted her child.
But much is the ‘norm’, if you can call it that, in the Albuquerque up-to-term abortion business.
Further, the Lozier Institute report on Late-Term Abortions says, “Abortion rights advocates have long insisted that late-term abortions are performed only in dire circumstances involving threats to a mother’s life or in cases of severe fetal anomaly. However, the above study, despite its limitations, suggests otherwise. The characteristic similarities and delay commonalities observed across first trimester and late-term abortion groups suggest that women who seek abortion share similar characteristics across gestational ages.”
