It’s been very difficult for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast [PPFA] to build their proposed site built on South Claiborne Ave in the very heart of New Orleans. Planned Parenthood stooped so low that it used its racist roots to go for minority businesses to build their killing center AFTER no one would.

Planned Parenthood was supposed to be open for business/baby killing last year and because of the non-stop, diligent work from Louisiana Coalition for Life and the Archdiocese of New Orleans, the photo below shows the ‘progress’ since May of 2013. Read more of the history of Planned Parenthood in Louisiana here. Boycotting WORKS.

It was also noticed by KeepLifeLegal that during this tumultuous time in New Orleans history, THERE IS NO 40 DAYS FOR LIFE PRESENCE. How does this happen that the local 40 Days for Life has considered this campaign to be unimportant?

KeepLifeLegal is a supporter of 40 Days for LIFE. Here, we are appalled at the local level inactivity in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Last week we wrote (see urgent update below) about the resumption of work at the Planned Parenthood proposed site in New Orleans.  Since then, we have confirmed that the company providing the concrete is Absolute Concrete Services.  Planned Parenthood has previously indicated that it was their inability to obtain concrete that was holding up the project.  Businesses doing business with Planned Parenthood say it is all about the money.  However, as one local pastor said, “you can’t wash the blood off of the money you receive from Planned Parenthood”.  Please contact Absolute Concrete Services and the other businesses helping to build this child killing center and help them understand this simple truth.

Also, The New Orleans Advocate published a story about the work going on at the Claiborne Avenue site and the effectiveness of pro-lifers.  God bless everyone who has joined us in this effort.

This is an urgent update.  Planned Parenthood and their General Contractor, Barre McNeely, have resumed work on the Claiborne Avenue abortion facility in New Orleans.  Several businesses have been identified as participating in this project and we urge you to contact businesses on the list of those helping to build the Planned Parenthood abortion facility.

Share with these businesses in a respectful and polite way that this is an abortion facility.  Please be sure that you are calling and writing from the most current list and please share this information with friends and family, including social media.  If you receive a response from any of the businesses, we would appreciate it if you would share that with us on the Contact Us page of the website.

For over eight months, the Planned Parenthood abortion facility site at 4636 S. Claiborne Avenue had remained quiet.  The only thing growing was weeds.   In January of this year, the Louisiana Department of Health denied Planned Parenthood a “Certificate of Need”.  This is a legally required permit issued by the state upon certification that a medical or abortion facility is actually needed in the geographical area.  Planned Parenthood maintained that New Orleans should have 2,844 more abortions than are currently performed in the New Orleans area and they (Planned Parenthood) want to sell those additional abortions.  The State of Louisiana has ruled that there are already enough facilities providing abortions in Greater New Orleans.  Planned Parenthood is appealing the state’s decision.

Without this “Certificate of Need”, Planned Parenthood cannot legally operate an abortion facility in New Orleans.  However, this week, they began working at the site again and apparently are trying to repair the foundation and preparing to pour concrete, perhaps as early as next week.  That is why it is urgent that we reach out to those now working at the site.
