SIDEWALK CHRONICLES: Even though it’s Christmas.

standwithunborntexaswomenA recent blog post by another WP blogger, that I will not dignify with a link back, tells a story of her Christmas wish: “I had dreams of blood on a toilet seat.  It was like a fantasy.  I’ve been treating my body like shit, like it’s my enemy.  This morning, I sobbed in terror as my husband stroked my head trying to comfort me.  All I could think was that I wanted to make my body such a toxic, untenable place, that nothing else develops, and I just miscarry.”

If abortion is so….normal, then why panic attacks? Why tears? The fact that this young woman won’t give her name, not that we need or even want to know it, but it tells a tale of regret and shame: “For safety purposes, this blog will remain anonymous until I feel it’s safe to be open and honest about my choice(so, maybe never?)”

What the rest of this woman’s post says is that she is horrified to be pregnant and hates waiting until AFTER Christmas. She does not realize that if she has a ‘Christmas abortion’, she will be reminded of her ‘choice‘ every Christmas, of the life she sacrificed for her own selfishness.

This ‘choice‘, this ‘right‘, KILLS. And the truth is that she, along with most women, KNOWS that abortion kills a baby. The ‘blob of tissue‘ excuse is exactly that, an excuse. Biology is like math, neither can lie.

Selfishness is a long road to take care of. And obviously people die in the wake of it. Just today, OVER 3500+ people will die from selfishness. And all of you prochoicers can squawk about ‘exceptions’ and ‘safe, legal, and rare’ but all you are doing is prolonging the inevitable: All people, born and unborn, will be recognized to be just as important, with the same rights, as YOU. Why does that offend you so much? How does killing unborn children make you more of a woman? All abortion does is make you more of a murderer.

Then, what would I say to her, and others like her, if I could? So much can be said: statistics of deaths, infertility, depression, suicide…BESIDES a lifetime of regret and shame. But wait, there’s more…

There is one more thing that needs to be addressed about your abortion: What will you tell your future surviving children of their aborted sibling? Will you tell them of how they ‘made the cut’ but this baby did not? How can you explain that you also had the ‘choice’ to abort them, too? How will you keep them from having nightmares of being torn and shredded by an abortionist’s hand?

But there is one thing that all of us praying prolifers can do is PRAY FOR HER. She has not aborted yet. We need to pray for her, her husband and her innocent unborn child. While someone should shake some sense into this woman, it’s her child who will suffer being torn and shredded or burned with chemicals.

See more here, PLEASE pray for her. And remember, Christmas is just another day to an abortionist…nothing more. Pray for the eyes of the abortionists and their workers to be opened to the truth of abortion.

To this woman I say, “This Christmas you want an abortion, but you can have MANY Christmases with this little one to share, love, and give.”

Merry Christmas to her little one. I prayerfully hope that her child will see many  more.

SIDEWALK CHRONICLES: The Last Minute Christmas Errand

THAT LAST MINUTE ERRAND….the one thing left to do, the one thing to find time for: THE CHRISTMAS ABORTION.

Sound too incredible to be true? Think again. People climb all over each other to get to that one gift AND still make time to kill an unwanted, unplanned, innocent baby. At Christmastime.

And in case you wondered, we see this every Christmas on the sidewalk; women all over the country are hurrying to get their ‘Christmas’ abortion, that last minute detail taken care of before the holiday. And just now I saw an update from another state that says a “local Sheriff has brought a young lady here threatening bodily harm and arrest”…for a Christmas abortion.

It’s busier than normal, it’s a surreal thing to see this march of death into these facilities near the day we observe as the birthday of a Holy Savior, our Redeemer….the Son of God. There is no excuse for abortion and there is even less of none at Christmas. This is a dark time in America, on and off the sidewalk. Women think nothing of executing their own unborn child but protest the untimely death of born children that are not so innocent.

This is the culture of death, a time of ambivalence, a place of apathy. Americans murder 3500+ every day…go protest THAT.

TO THE ABORTION-MINDED WOMAN AT CHRISTMAS: Look at your little lit up tree, look at the wrapped gifts, look at the pile of cookies and treats, look at the little plastic nativity scene…there you will not see abortion; there is NO death, only the reality of a born Savior who is trying to get your attention.

A Prayer of Praise for the Mourning Christian

Even in the deepest pit we are in, the one whose sin has provided, Jesus will be there! Your HOPE is in the LORD!

My Life as a Christian

Though You say You delight in me,
I find no comfort.
Though You say You love me,
I cannot feel.

And through my sorrow I see dimly
Because the enemy seeks me;
I loathe my encompassing skin
And know the serpent is watching.

What of the night, where is the Watchman?
My soul quakes in joy and apprehension.
Where is my salvation
In the darkest of hours?

While I mourn and lament
Your promises come!
As You have pledged,
I will have peace.

Even through a renewed affliction
I hear Your voice.
Even in the darkest of the day
I have your assurances!

O Lord, I am not alone and I am not forsaken;
For I am yours forever and you are mine.

I will Praise You forever!
I am Yours!
My prayers have been answered
In the midst of my mourning.

SIDEWALK CHRONICLES: Empty Sidewalk, Full Lot, FULL PEWS.

While thinking about what another sidewalk counselor said about the empty sidewalk, I came across this:

“Teach me to to suffer, Lord, rather than let me sin to escape suffering.” ~ Rolley Haggard

Spoke volumes. Way too many Christians want to escape suffering, to hide from it. Christ suffered, but a lot of Christians have no intention of suffering for the cause of Christ.

Indeed, there is a remnant within the remnant:

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

This Christian life is not ours because we are not our own [Rom 14:7-9, 1Cor 6:19] – we were created for a purpose that was chosen for us before we were ever within our mother’s womb [Jer 1:5].

My dear Christian, you have NO excuse. NONE.

While at my ordination, I mentioned that our ministry is a Prolife Missionary Ministry. I got the ‘huh’ look and said that I witness on the sidewalk of abortion facilities and speak for the unborn at the statehouse, town square and churches. Instead of someone saying “What can I do” or “How can I help” or “Can you tell my church about this”, I received the pre-recorded “Thank you for what you do”. Dismal, just dismal. All of these Pastors and their wives practically ignored me because this ministry isn’t in a climate controlled church, thus has no value: “Teach me to to suffer, Lord, rather than let me sin to escape suffering.”

“…Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge –  by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith.” 1Timothy 6:20-21

My dear Pastor, YOU are not your own, mimicking patterned services with little to do with outreach ministries is NOT what church is. Further, if you think church is a building, then you don’t know your Bible OR Jesus.

And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.” Col 1:18

Empty sidewalk, FULL pews, FULL lot. Every car in the lot of the abortion facility represents a life lost THAT DAY.

Nearly every car in this lot represents a life lost to abortion....that day.
Nearly every car in this lot represents a life lost to abortion….that day.

‘Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.’ [Matthew 19:13-15]

Mary Believed.

Mary believed God, she had faith that He would take care of her in her time of need. If you are considering abortion…YOU ARE NOT ALONE! God is with YOU! Believe God!

My Life as a Christian

Unimaginable. To think that a young girl, barely marriageable, was chosen to be the vessel God would use for the birth our Savior, Jesus Christ. And even more unimaginable is her Faith in whom she heard this Good News!

Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Luke 1:45

The New Testament reflects what the Prophet Isaiah said regarding the birth of The Redeemer:

So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet [Is 7:14], saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1:22-23

Why was Mary so special to God for Him to choose her? It has to be assumed that Mary’s heart to some…
