40 Days For Life Model Does Not Work.

This has been an interesting thing for me. I’ve pondered and considered everything, all the prolife movement has to offer. And it pains me to even think this out loud, but the 40 Days for Life model does not work, and it wasn’t set up to.

Now, while a bunch of my friends are gasping at this, I must try to explain this as simply as I can without pointing persecuting fingers at anyone or any entity. Look, the people who participate in 40DFL are gems. Truly. But if I only see you during 40DFL, then this has become a dismal failure.

I loved 40DFL. I found it online in 2008. I saw this term I never heard before, post-abortive. It was like looking into a mirror, I got it. I needed it. But after all these years, I finally had to take a hard look at 40DFL. I did not like what I saw.

For the most part, and I mean MOST, people who participate in 40DFL will only come during their allotted time they signed up for and when the campaign is over, that’s it. We don’t see them until the next campaign. WHY? Well, as an ex-catholic, I’m pretty sure I know the answer: It’s works based rather than Holy Spirit led.

The 40DFL model has never said they advocate for any one religion. However, they have not done what they should to bring more Evangelical Christians [Baptist, COG, AG, etc.] or Protestant Christians [Episcopal, UMC, Lutheran, etc.], if anything at all. Everything has been Catholic based, and if the Spring Campaigns haven’t proven that starting off on Ash Wednesday, then you aren’t paying attention. And for this, I blame 40DFL for passively advocating for Catholics rather than Evangelical Christians. 40DFL has chased away Evangelicals and Protestants because they see 40DFL as Catholic only. Maybe 40DFL assumed that Evangelicals follow Catholic traditions? Rather, we simply follow the Bible and the Holy Spirit, not a liturgy or sabbath keeping or sacraments.

The model was supposed to bring more people to the sidewalk of abortion mills with the intent of showing folks that they are needed year round. But for the most part, and I mean MOST, that has not happened. The 40DFL model is supposed to attract more participants, all of us, and show us that we are needed to shut down abortion mills. 40DFL – and other prolife groups – like to take all the glory when a mill shuts down, but the truth is that graphic public outreaches work which takes abortion money away, or maybe the law was finally in our favor.

Last campaign, it was quite obvious that 40DFL tried to ‘own’ the sidewalk for the 40 days campaigns; no graphic images, not allowed to openly advocate for rescues, speakers had to be some kind of androgynous 40DFL approved prolifer, etc. As an Evangelical Christian, that binds the hands of God from doing with us His Will.

Prayer and passivity [acceptance of what happens, without active response or resistance] is the 40DFL model, and that is exactly what they got…and continue to get. Passivity has never won one soul to Heaven but it will send someone straight to hell. Other outreach models DO work, ones that preach the Gospel, share Jesus, and loves someone enough to tell them they are wrong and need a Savior.

So I suppose the moral of this story is this: 40DFL is not going to change, neither is there model. It’s the 80/20 rule, only 20% or less will continue being on the sidewalk all year. That is a awful shame.

Pray to end abortion? Arise and go, DO SOMETHING.

From the Pious to Seekers, Relevant & Traditional Churches on Sanctity of LIFE Sunday

Sanctity of Life Sunday is the day that churches think they can absolve themselves by addressing abortion ONCE while DOING less than NOTHING for the unborn the rest of the year. It’s like people who only show up at church for Easter and Christmas. It’s lame and very telling. You’re either in or OUT.

Some churches will say that they ‘go into all the world to preach the gospel’, and that GREAT!! Really, it is!!! They believe this is on the ground ministry, and it is a great start. But without any real ministries led by Christians who love to help others, it’s empty. And people really want to help others, with the Gospel in one hand and a tangible need in the other.

But churches stop there and conveniently forget the Book of Acts that took not just the Gospel but also real life, real time NEED TO THE PEOPLE: Food, shelter, medical, etc – the ACTS of the APOSTLES is exactly that!!! They ACTED!!!! They were boots on the ground men and women who did the dirty work, the real work, real ministry for the Lord. So, go ahead and preach on the unborn and abortion TODAY. Now….what about tomorrow??? Too many churches hide behind Mark 16:15 as their excuse.

ARISE & GO! If your church is doing no prolife work at all, then go to your Pastor and ask why. Then, ARISE & GO and start one! Because if you don’t, no one will. So, if you’re going to preach on it, GREAT!!! But now you have to back it up tomorrow. Moms and babies and families NEED YOU.

So I said, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord said to me, ‘Arise and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all things which are appointed for you to do.’ Acts 22:10

BREAKING: Sin of Abortion Cannot Be Outlawed. Yet.

And that, my friends, is a true statement. The reason for the post is because an ‘abolitionist’ said: “Christians who lamely remark ‘abortion will be with us forever’ are precisely the reason why.”

Actually, I should have written the ‘abolitionist’ WRONGLY said. And here’s why.

First – Remember that I am an ordained & licensed minister. I am aware of the Word of2016-07-21 10.46.41 God. I do not flippantly remark on the things of God, nor the implications. This is how people get into wrong doctrine and absolute cults. Any deviation from the written Word of God OR putting ANYTHING between you and the Cross of Christ is H E R E S Y. And that is regardless of anything. Skewing the Word of God to sort out your personal ‘beliefs’ is H E R E S Y, For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; v19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book,” Rev 22:18-19.

Second – The world will always have sin in it until Jesus comes back. Period. We will never be without sin, but as an individual we can take specific sins out of our lives. To better understand that, read and re-read Romans 5,6,7 & 8. The sin nature is powerful! But we have Jesus, “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace,” Romans 6:14.

Third – In order to ‘eradicate’ sin, and in this instance a particular sin, you must reach their heart. Evangelism is personal, a heart-to-heart relationship with Christ to know that you are a sinner. Abortion is a sin, and knowing that is the first first step, “v1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. v2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death,” Romans 8:1-2.

Then finally – Never, NEVER has any law EVER made a sin (homicide, drugs, theft, etc.) go away. NOT ONE TIME. Nor will it ever.

People still shoot each other regardless of the law.

People still do/sell/overdose on drugs regardless of the law.

People still steal other people’s stuff regardless of the law.

People will abort their unborn children regardless of any laws, whether abortion is outlawed or with incremental laws. The one thing that proaborts got right is that outlawing abortion will create the so-called ‘back alley abortion’. People will always break the law, even knowing the end game, abortion is no different. But that does not make the argument to keep unborn baby murder legal.

Friends: The Bible says, “v12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;  v13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure,” Phil 2:12-13.

No, sin cannot be eradicated until Jesus comes back for His Church. And until then:

“v21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. v22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Happy New Year.

Dear Christian: STOP Justifying Your Abortion!!!

STOP IT!!! It’s embarrassing!!! Yet again, I was reading a blog post from a woman claiming to be a born-again Christian telling her abortion story. When I read these kind of stories, I look for something pointing to OR outright saying she/he repented. The post said neither. The story told of being brought up in the church, which unfortunately is not so uncommon in abortion stories. Being a born-again Christian, you would think that repentance would have been the next natural step to an amazing testimony? NO.

KEEPLIFELEGALreceiptI read these ‘abortion stories’ and all I see is the excuses! My problems, my family, my school, me me me me. And even worse, from a so-called Christian. I know, I know…who am I to judge? Well, the BIBLE says to ‘judge righteously’, which means using the BIBLE as the answer rather than something that helps your wobbly table from tipping over: “Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy,” Prov 31:9.

So, would correct BIBLE doctrine have changed this situation? Would the baby be alive today? I think so! When a family ‘takes a break’ from a church that did not meet their spiritual needs [as in the story I read] and does not seek the Lord in the meantime OR find another church, that is a backslidden state which propagates sin, such as abortion, and others.

Regarding the recent story of a ‘prolife’ congressman that asked his mistress to abort, this is not new, this story is not unique, even though it should be. Being prolife until life gets hard is typical of Christians who are in incorrect doctrine or in a backslidden state. That being said, we do not know the spiritual compass of this congressman, only he knows, but he revealed it all when he advocating killing his own unborn child.

On the sidewalk, we see Christians aborting EVERY SINGLE DAY. When a Christian makes God second, they have made themselves God: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” Hosea 4:6. Yes, literally destroyed, in pieces.

The devil LOVES a dusty Bible and ignorant Christians. He seeks weak Christians and exposes them for what they are, what they do and don’t do.

So, to the apathetic so-called Christian high-fiving her abortion decision, remember YOU are still a MOTHER, but of a dead child. Repent, go back to the altar, get right with God so that one day you can see your child again.

Top 5 Reason Prolifers Lose Prolife Facebook Friends

We are all guilty of friending people on Facebook that we do not personally know…but the Christian ‘prolife’ friends we really do know that defriend us for our prolife ministry posts? SERIOUSLY?

Dear Christian Pastor, Pastor’s Wife, Pseudo Christian: ABORTION KILLS UNBORN CHILDREN. Yes, it offends me, too. Remember the Cross offends the weak in spirit…so my dear offended Christian, what is your excuse for not protecting unborn children?

1. Graphic Abortion Images are Offensive. Yep, they offend me too. But they show the TRUTH of what actually happens. Not acknowledging that is OFFENSIVE to babies that won’t even get a proper burial. Stop dismissing the convicting power of the Holy Spirit.
2. Not Called to Prolife Ministry. Do you really think you are not CALLED to protect and advocate for the unborn? STOP LYING. It’s ugly: “
Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy,” [Prov 31:8-9]
3. Abortion Isn’t in the Bible. Every word in the Bible points to a PROLIFE Jesus. Not one time did He advocate murder: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” [Matthew 22:39]
4. Too Busy, I Have a Life. I also live my life – LOVE my life – because I am PROLIFE. You’ll see photos of my grands, my husband, my friends, my LIFE…I have a pretty AWESOME life because I am PROLIFE.
5. Abortion May Offend my Church. Even in your denial or apathy, literally THOUSANDS of unborn children will DIE TODAY. Churches today completely ignore the unborn to soothe the sinner. As a post abortive mother, I am offended that Churches choose to ignore the millions of moms who have lost their children to abortion. WE NEED JESUS.

BONUS POINT: The photos below show what happens to unborn children after their appointment at the abortion pit.
