Here we are, Life and Liberty hangs in the balance in the upcoming election AGAIN. We look at all of the candidates, the issues…and once again voters have to choose from the lesser of two evils. As a voter and a Christian, I realize that no candidate is perfect. But…seriously?

TIMING: A Christian’s ability to discern should be getting better rather than worse, considering the times we are in. The Bible never said the world would get better – these last days grow dim and we have to see through spiritual eyes,  not television and the internet. How much more evidence do we need to see that ‘tolerance’ will win elections, not the truth? Democrats win because wishy-washy Christians let them; Democrats win because of single issue voting. Those who claim ‘tolerance’ show how intolerant they are of decent Christians who live by the Book, not ‘tolerance’.

Single Issue Voting Denies LIFE? YES! One cannot measure the amount of Christians who vote Democrat because of single issues such as the Gay Agenda, legalization of pot, race baiting other ‘tolerance’ issues. Since Democrats demonize God, Jesus and Christianity to be intolerant, we have Godless agendas working to oust God and our basic freedoms outlined in the Constitution.

Single issue voting brings out the ‘true cost of ownership’ in elections. After all, we have to live with the outcome, right? Think of it this way, Colorado legalized pot and now they have real issues to deal with [because of the new law] such as a rise in homelessness, influx of out of state homeless attracted to legal drug use and crime. In Texas, the Mayor of Houston has interjected her personal Gay Agenda to upend our most basic rights of the Constitution including Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion. And if you think Houston isn’t a ‘test market’, think again. Annise Parker is actively demonizing Christians by trying to force Pastors to hand over sermons, notes, emails, texts, voice mails, etc. Single issue voting brought her and her Gay Agenda in, pot in Colorado brought in a myriad of other agendas. These two states are trying to get the Liberal Agenda OUT while they get millions of dollars of support from OUT OF STATE to keep their agendas in office and on the books.

Single issue voting takes prolifers to the task when they are confronted with keeping their gay cousin happy or the rights of the unborn. Even in my own family we were faced with being tolerant of their anti-God decision to live as another gender or ousted of a family who now denies God and unborn life for them. Personally, I did not find this to be a hard decision; the unborn has no voice while the Gay Agenda prances in gay pride parades in tutus and feather boas. My family chose the gay cousin over God and the unborn, just like most Christian families do. Tired of being strong-armed by their agenda? Then stop voting the agenda in. Simple stuff, really.

LET THE ABORTED SPEAK. What would an unborn child say to all of this? I recently commented on a Letter to the Editor regarding a person’s aunt who died from a botched abortion before 1973. And since all agendas follows the same trends, the writer said he/she [wasn’t specified] would fight for legal abortion rather than stopping an act that kills the unborn child and could kill the mother:

“If this woman had an abortion, then she thought herself higher and more important than the child she was carrying, she put herself into the position she was in. Abortionists all over the country kill the precious, innocent unborn every day in sub-standard back alley conditions that rival Kermit Gosnell’s killing field in Philadelphia. Rising up to speak for the abortion minded rather than an innocent unborn child is abhorrent, to say the absolute least. Let the aborted speak, not the liberal caretakers of those who are trying to ease their blood guilt.”

I cannot imagine any unborn child would sacrifice their own life for any reason IF THEY HAD THE CHOICE. Would you? Would YOU sacrifice your life to further abortion ‘rights’? Would YOU be the first person in line to offer up your last breath for an agenda to kill off the so-called unwanted? To that, I’d say: LET THE ABORTED SPEAK and hear what they have to say about dismemberment and disarticulation from abortion death. I assure you, the aborted speak VOLUMES.

BACK TO THE ELECTION: I can’t answer why we have rabid liberals in office, except that we have to trust the system because we are commanded to: “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God,” [Rom 13:1]. Even in the times that the Apostle Paul wrote this, bad people were actively persecuting Christians, Paul included. All of the Apostles died from persecution except John. So, how can we learn from what the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to jot down about a government who seeks out Christians to murder?

To understand this better, you have to remember that Paul himself was a persecutor and murderer of Christians: “Now Saul [Paul] was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. And devout men carried Stephen [persecuted] to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. As for Saul [Paul], he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison. Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word,” [Acts 8:1-4].

It is interesting to note that Paul wrote about government after his Damascus Road experience; Paul was THE persecutor FOR the government before he converted to Christianity…and that government was still there after his conversion. Paul knew that as Christians we have to battle demons that the government cannot see; we have to live among people who hate us and wish us dead: “For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same,” [Rom 12:3].

Can we ‘trust’ government? Instead, TRUST GOD. Vote the Bible, vote for LIFE.

Christians should vote for Christian values, of course. But Christians forget that we aren’t supposed to live as the persecutors do. It is our responsibility to give them the answer: Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul knew this and wrote many letters throughout his ministry concerning this. And just like Paul, we were once murderous sinners NOW saved by Grace who live within a government that seeks to persecute us. Preach the Word, share the love of Jesus, be the hand extended even at the cost of prison or death. Elections come and go, but God is FOREVER:

“But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel, so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ; and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill: The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.” [Phil 1:12-18]
