The audacity of a life less worthy, part 2

Nothing that is made by God is imperfect – only the people that believe God to be imperfect and a Creator of imperfection – how it must grieve Him that people so casually distrust Him and make themselves ‘God’ in situations that He has always had control over. God always has a way, will make a way in every situation, even having a child with disabilities.

Why do pre-parents think they can only handle parenting a ‘well’ or ‘perfect’ child?

There is a new test to determine if an unborn child has Down syndrome much earlier in the pregnancy with just a simple blood test. Since the test is not intrusive to the unborn child, it is considered ‘safer’, unless it’s positive:

“However, the study raises important ethical questions about whether couples should be able to access genetic testing for a variety of traits — such as health or eye color — and whether the results will lead to an increase in abortions, thus thinning the ranks of certain kinds of people from the population.”

Like any other test there is always chance for a false-positive on a perfectly healthy unborn baby. Pre-parents think they’re doing a great big favor to the unborn baby with Down by taking his/her life in their hands and aborting. It’s evident that the pre-parents decide to abort because of THEIR instability, incapability, inconsistency and insensibility of taking care of another human being at all much less one that takes more work, more time and more love.

For women at 30 years of age, statistics show that 1 in 900 babies have Down syndrome.

So while science has given pre-parents another way of knowing more about their unborn child, it also gives them more ammo when considering abortion instead of LIFE.

#321 DAY: The Pressure to Abort, Just in Case.

March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day…#321 Day.  As ‘no exceptions’ prolifers, we are to love them all; the sidewalk is not segregated. We are determined to defeat the scourge of abortion and bring better awareness that all of God’s children are GOD’s, right on the sidewalk of abortion facilities everywhere.

FACT: 92% of diagnosed preborn Down syndrome babies are aborted.

KEEPLIFELEGALIn 1997, I was 35 years old…and surprised with pregnancy I did not expect. I was married, had two sons, my youngest was 5 years old. Since I was ‘old’ regarding child bearing, the doctors tried to prescribe an amniocentesis to check for Down syndrome and other ‘defects’. I gave a resounding NO. I was already post-abortive and knew exactly what it was like to live with it. I said that I do not want to know if something was wrong – I would be his/her mother, no matter what. Doctors are way too quick to give moms the option of abortion – just in case.

FACT: 92% of diagnosed preborn Down syndrome babies are aborted.

All WAY too often women are given the option – over and OVER again – to abort their preborn child because of an presumed affliction. People only want perfection and the path of least resistance. Few give God a chance to be God.

A famous mom of a Down syndrome child is Sarah Palin. She had the test, she and her husband prepared for their child’s arrival, not demise. Palin said she knew abortion was an option but was able to overcome the fear of the unknown to go ahead with the birth.

And then there’s Noah’s Dad. What he is doing for his son Noah and his family is way more than incredible! They have proven that even young women have children with an extra chromosome. And Noah’s Dad has also proven that it’s not just his journey but Noah’s journey as well. We tend to forget that it is the child that has Down Syndrome, not the parents. It’s our job AS A FAMILY to be the family he or she needs.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” explains that WE, not just the wanted or perfect, are HIS [Eph 2:10]…..AND that EVERYONE has a plan that God has given them. Is there any affliction that God cannot overcome? NEVER.

FACT: 92% of diagnosed preborn Down syndrome babies are aborted.

Amniocentesis and diagnostic ultrasound along with many other ‘tests’ are there to determine if a ‘therapeutic’ abortion is an option, not to prepare for the child’s birth. I remember all too well the look on my doctor’s face when I told her no test. Ironically, SHE was pregnant, too.

Protect ALL of our unborn, remember to pray and come to the sidewalk…we need you to help save Down Syndrome….ALL of the babies. Click here to see other resources.

The audacity of a life less worthy

A life worthy is in the eye of the beholder…who’s the ‘beholder’? Clearly not the preborn child.

It’s the opinion of MILLIONS that children that have resulted in rape and incest should not be born. How could a child ever be loved that was conceived in a way that they had nothing to do with?

It is the opinion of MILLIONS that children that have Down syndrome should be aborted because they would have to be cared for by someone else and/or the government anyway.

It is the opinion of MILLIONS that surplus children conceived in petri dishes by greedy self absorbed ‘parents’, sometimes frozen for years, should be used for heinous science experiments instead of just thrown away as trash.

I knew a woman that had an adulterous affair with a policeman. She got pregnant and it was the decision of the woman AND her husband to abort the innocent child. After all, what would their neighbors and friends think?

The reason why we don’t see as many Down syndrome children as there used to be is because of preimplantation genetic diagnosis (if IVF is used)and amniocentesis. This does not just pick on Down syndrome; if you’ve ever known a pregnant woman over 35, they will tell you that their doctor offered testing for all abnormalities to the unborn fetus (I hate that word). I was pregnant at 36 and declined the test. It wasn’t for me to know, it was for God to determine.

I have seen strands and strands of comments on embryonic stem cell research from the University of Michigan Facebook page that would horrify anyone that is slightly prolife. Incredibly, at least 90% of the commenters (and there were hundreds) were decidedly for the chance that one adult may live or be able to walk while it might have taken thousands of preborn children’s lives to pay for it.

A life less worthy is a life easier to murder and the audacity of it is in the hands of the world.

Being perfect, in the eyes of God

In a recent story, a woman is 15 weeks pregnant with twins BUT one is not perfect. One is a healthy, normal girl; the other a boy with Down Syndrome. Through ‘selective reduction’, a child was aborted that was thought to be not perfect. Ironically, it was the healthy girl that was killed. Subsequently, the boy with Down Syndrome was also aborted. That wonderful little boy just wasn’t good enough to his own mother.

It was through IVF – an unholy conception – these children were conceived. But right or wrong, these children were alive in their mother’s womb. Both of these tiny lives are perfect in the eyes of God, but not to their own parents. Who’s right? Who’s wrong? Anyone that believes they to be God enough to conceive children outside the womb would be WRONG, every time.

The ‘doctor’ lost his license; the baby boy with Down Syndrome and his ‘perfect’ sister lost their lives.

Proverbs 24:11-12 says, (v11)‘Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. (v12)If you say, “Behold, we did not know this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work?’

God had never created anything that was not perfect. He does not make mistakes, ‘So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.’ God is perfect, and thus, so is His image: Man, at every stage of Life.

Romans 8:38-39 says, (v38)For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  (v39)Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Eugenics & Down Syndrome

Or, Monsters are under the bed.

Psalm 139:13 says, (v13) ‘For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. (v14) I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.’ –ESV-

What kind of monster would kill a child – only because that baby has Down Syndrome? So what difference would it make if that child is not yet born? Ask the mothers of the 9 out of 10 babies aborted because the unborn child has Down Syndrome.

The Mayo Clinic says ‘Down Syndrome is a genetic disorder that causes lifelong mental retardation, developmental delays and other problems. Down syndrome varies in severity, so developmental problems range from moderate to serious.’ But does that justify murdering unborn infants with a disability? If you walked down the street and saw a person with Down Syndrome, are you compelled to kill him/her because they aren’t ‘perfect’? Of course not, you’d say. But 9 out of 10 babies (as high as 92%) diagnosed with Down Syndrome will be aborted because they are not ‘perfect’.

Eugenics is a science that deals with the improvement -as by control of human mating- of hereditary qualities of a race or breed (Merriam Webster Dictionary). There is a holocaust of Down Syndrome babies because of the world’s view of perfection.

“To abort a fetus with one of these disabilities, intending to have another child who will not be disabled, is to treat fetuses as interchangeable or replaceable,” said Peter Singer, a professor of Bioethics at Princeton University.

“It has become routine to offer pregnant women, especially those over 35 prenatal screening for Down’s Syndrome. Such testing, however, does not give a certain diagnosis of Down’s Syndrome, but only a percentage possibility. Nevertheless, the abortion rate with even an uncertain pre-natal Down’s Syndrome diagnosis is extremely high, with some studies showing as many as 90% of children aborted,” wrote Brian Skotko of the National Down’s Syndrome Congress (2005). Read the entire article here.

Sarah Palin spoke at the Ohio Right to Life Society fundraiser in Columbus on Friday (3/5/10) saying that her anti-abortion commitment was tested during her pregnancy with her youngest son, who has Down syndrome. But why didn’t Sarah abort? Because she knows the truth about LIFE through the Word of God. God made Trig perfect in His eyes, not the world’s.

Abortion is heinous enough; but to kill a child that’s not perfect enough?

Jeremiah 17:9-10 says, (v9) ‘The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? (v10) “I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”’ –ESV-

We are not on this Earth for the profit and pleasure of others. He knew us before we were ever formed in the womb (Jer 1:5) and has a ministry for each and every one of us…not just the ‘perfect’ ones.
