SIDEWALK CHRONICLES: Are we doing it wrong?

Well, to be sure IF you are doing it wrong, there has to be a benchmark to judge by. And right now, I see none in the region where we live and witness.

Being a Christian comes with responsibilities to others, and not just the ‘pretty’ ones. How many times have prolife ministries come churches to be a presence on the sidewalk? But do they come? Not many, if any at all.

Okay, how many times has prolife ministries mentioned through social media a prolife ministry opportunity and hardly anyone shows?

KEEPLIFELEGALHmmm, and why won’t Pastors do anything outside of the box on the other side of their church doors? How many Pastors are within a quarter mile distance from the abortion facility and NEVER come to the sidewalk to pray? Is the planned execution of the unborn NOT ministry?

In a four county metro area, there are over 840K residents, and HUNDREDS of churches that circle just ONE ABORTION FACILITY. Still, no one comes. They know the need, they understand the fate of nearly every unborn baby that goes there…still no one comes.

We go to the Statehouse to protest and testify for our precious unborn, to legally further their rights as citizens to be protected. Very few Pastors come to rally at the Capital for the ‘least of these’, if any at all.

WE HAVE TO FIGHT THE OPPRESSION THAT KEEPS CHRISTIANS AND PASTORS FROM MINISTERING TO THE LOST AND DYING IN OUR OWN BACK YARD!

Everyone loses in the abortion wars; babies die, parents are heartbroken, the economy suffers, God is ANGRY and the Church does nothing when it was their fight all along.KEEPLIFELEGAL

Christians, you’re doing it wrong. Just because you don’t go doesn’t mean abortion went away. The sidewalk is still there, full of grief and pain. The sidewalk needs every one of us to go and pray.

Jesus said, “All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.” [Matthew 25:32-33]

The Church allowed abortion, now it’s time to take it back. Go to the sidewalk, tell your Pastor to go to the sidewalk….and PRAY.

A Good Shepherd or an Entertainer?

Pastors tell me they are prolife. They say that they preach it…..but where are they?

“Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God to the shepherds: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks?“ Ezekiel 34:2

PASTORS: Are you shepherding your flock or leading them down a road of hyper-grace? Pastor, if your church is not active in prolife ministry, you are in grievous error. Ignoring the abortion epidemic will not make it go away. Where, then, are you leading your flock? Certainly not to the sidewalk or prolife related activities.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” John 10:1

Pastor, are you aware that where you go your flock will follow? Then it’s YOU that does not want to promote a culture of LIFE on the sidewalk or in your church. Don’t tell me that saying ‘abortion is wrong’ now and then in a sermon and that gets you off the hook. Babies and women are dying in abortion facilities and some of those moms probably came from your church.

“And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.” John 10:4

The public sidewalk in front of the abortion facility is exactly that, PUBLIC, that anyone can come and pray peacefully:

“You’re doing it wrong,” Pastors say. Nothing is further from the truth. One of the biggest excuses Evangelical Pastors give for not being on the sidewalk or creating prolife ministry groups is that other denominations would have the nerve to show up, too. It’s a common justification within Evangelical churches to stay away from anything that might ‘soil’ their vestments.

What would Jesus do? He’d show up with His sheep girded with truth and righteousness.

“For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God. Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.” Acts 20:27-28

Pray to end abortion, evangelize to save the lost, teach with the Word of GOD.
