Data versus Pseudoscience

A prochoicer wrote, “When wishes trump science, when desire pushes data aside, pseudoscience reigns.” It is their wish that we Prolifers would just go away while the holocaust continues.

Yep…and if horses were wishes, beggars would ride.

Ironically, I got this from a guy that says there is no science data regarding the abortion/breast cancer link and Post Abortion Stress Syndrome. For one thing, he is WRONG.

Let’s be scientific specific: If a woman experiences a ‘spontaneous’ abortion, she actually had what is commonly called a ‘miscarriage’. In this scenario, the woman’s body knows before she does that her baby will not survive. However, when a surgical or medical abortion is obtained, the ‘doctor’ has stopped the woman’s body from being pregnant to being not pregnant thus throwing her hormones into a tornado-like effect inside her body. Her body is now in a kind of state of ‘shock’ from the procedure and is trying to keep up with trying to get back to normal. In this process, breast tissue is particularly affected.

Getting back to pseudoscience…

Incredibly, prochoicers are the worst offenders of this ‘practice’ of conjuring up ‘data’. For instance, while researching Post Abortion Stress Syndrome, it’s blatantly obvious where they get their ‘data’…from participating abortion facilities. Their data says, “There is no such thing as Post Abortion Stress Syndrome – even after two years women do not have symptoms and most do not regret their decision to abort”.

It would take me ten minutes to conjure up a bunch of young women that are card carrying feminists that have aborted and don’t care that they took the life of an unborn child.

A nice bit of brainwashing, eh? The last ‘study’ I read about not only said women must have been nuts before their abortion to be nuts after it, but also pointed to women that had children that have the same issues. According to THEM, having children at all makes us crazy. And by THEM I mean so-called scholars and experts in Europe, not the United States. Again, PSEUDOSCIENCE.

Women that are Post Abortive almost always regret the choice that they made. They are sorrowful and full of grief and shame and they are scared to death to talk about it. It’s their ‘dirty little secret’ that no one knows but them. It takes YEARS to come out of the closet and talk about it. Stigma is a foul stench.

There are stacks of real data regarding Post Abortion Stress Syndrome, reams and reams of it. A great source is the Elliot Institute as well as many others. What I really like about the Elliot Institute is that they cite every data source; no lying, no junk, no pseudoscience.

To all of my Post Abortive friends, there is real data and real stories, just like yours and mine. We are not alone.

Liberals + Prochoice + Ministry = Anti-American bigot with a God complex

Your defense is that you have no real defense for abortion ‘rights’; all you have is liberal rhetoric.

Even the Bible says, ‘That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.”

But when all else fails, harass us with old news like a lonely old woman with nothing else better to do:

“Certain members of Congress are living on a hypocritical erotic planet. People have sex. They love sex. Women love sex. I actually feel sorry for Larry Craig (former senator of Idaho) and what he sees as his potty room, the only place he is worthy of sex. Even if it becomes ‘illegal’ in its reproductive consequences, people are going to have sex. Some will have it in bathrooms; others will have it on the Internet when their married lives start to bore them…….Do they really “think with their d—‘s?” Forgive the slang but it fits way too well with my argument. Political logic would attach family planning to a decrease of the deficit and increase the funding for it. One d-word appears to be in the way of another. More unwanted children require more schooling, polices and services. DUH.” Donna Schaper of Judson Memorial Church (Judson.org)

The social justice in their abortion stance is clearly man-made, not biblical or godly in nature. Miss Schaper’s apathetic attitude with abortion is still riding the ‘70’s wave of man-hating feminism. Her ‘church’ is one of the few that just can’t let go of a bygone era of bra burning; their approach to abortion ‘rights’ is antiquated and pitiable:

“As an adult, and a woman, I know my rage is hurting me as much as it is hurting my opponents…….As a pastor, the only explanation I can give for the immoral stupidity of the current proposal is here: Some people on the religious right really hate their own sexuality. That almost makes me sad enough to care about them. Just almost, as I still need the defense of anger. Anger is not the opposite of love. Indifference is.”

Women like Schaper, and there are many of them IN ORGANIZED MINISTRY, need to look inward and understand that this world does NOT actually revolve around them and their ‘reproductive rights’ and their ‘apoplectic’ observation of men around them. Men have rights, children have rights, the elderly have rights, and the most innocent of all – unborn children have rights. Hardcore feminists have spent theirs.

Get over it.

Pastors, we need to talk…again.

Part 2

A recent article from David Gushee, a professor of Christian ethics, wrote (in part) these three points regarding American Culture, the law and abortion:

  • The collapse of any cultural assumption that sex is to be reserved for marriage and that marriage is the best context in which to conceive and raise children,
  • The devolution of male-female relationships from a striving for a mutual lifetime covenant to short-term use of one another for individual sexual and emotional needs,
  • The overall transition from a focus on doing what is right to an emphasis on my rights.

Cultural problems cannot be solved through legislation; these issues need to be addressed at home and in the Church…“but the legal struggle is actually a distraction from the unresolved cultural and moral issues that have created it.” I could not agree more.

But who is at fault? How did this nation get this demoralized? When you take God out of the equation, you have nothing. So many things brought us here, such as teaching evolution, taking prayer out of school, and women working outside of the home.

Yes, I said it: Women working outside of the home. The biblical God-given role for women has been treated as an anomaly, almost a thing to be laughed at. But look at the result – more and more children out of wedlock, abortion is ‘normal’, kids rule the home, some women don’t know who the father of their child or children is. Women got liberated alright, liberated of having a husband, a father for their children…essentially the tail is wagging the dog.

Truly, this desensitizing of America has become an entitlement issue of the hugest magnitude. Women are being raised to be ‘I’m every woman’ instead of learning how to be a wife and mother. I, too, was a victim of this. The world has made women a dehumanized commodity instead of the beautiful creation that God made her to be for her husband.

Women need to liberate themselves from this filthy world we live in and let God be God in our lives. He alone brings Glory to sufferings and afflictions.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”
