Why do you want Barabbas?

Jesus is perfect – in a fallen world perfection is unattainable. We are always to be more like Jesus but we cannot be perfect, but we can be holier.

Voting for a liberal, a third party candidate or not voting at all because Mitt Romney isn’t perfect enough for you makes you no different than who crucified our LORD. Why do you want Barabbas?

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. The governor answered and said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” (Matthew 27:20-21)

The intrusion of our fundamental rights, the intrusion into our homes and families from the government will only get much, much worse if Obama wins a second term. This HHS mandate is only the beginning to what is an eventual fall of our great country. Instead of fighting on the battlefield in hand to hand combat, we are instead shadow boxing an agenda that is gaining ground in the battlefield that was the sanctity our home and church.

They said, “Barabbas!” Pilate said to them, “What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” (Matthew 27:22)

How did abortion and contraception become the idols of the Liberal Left? This is their Doctrine: weed out the weeds, power to the people, make love not war – a damnable doctrine that is leading us into a dark world and breaking what was once our right to think on our own.

They all said to him, “Let Him be crucified!” (Matthew 27:22)

Barabbas. Vote for the thief and crucify what is good and holy.

When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it.”

And all the people answered and said, “His blood be on us and on our children.(Matthew 27: 24-25)

FOCA, under their breath

Not all Democrats are on board with the new healthcare reform legislation. A bipartisan group says healthcare reform must include an explicit ban on the use of taxpayer money for abortions to prevent them from increasing as a result of the legislation.

Pro-life is no abortion, EVER, for any reason.
Pro-life is no abortion, EVER, for any reason.

From The Columbus Dispatch:  In a separate letter (regarding higher taxes for small businesses to fund the healthcare legislation) to Pelosi last month, Driehaus and Rep. Marcy Kaptur of Toledo  (Ohio) joined 17 other House Democrats to warn that they would oppose a health-care bill that requires the federal government to pay for abortions through Medicaid.

“The Obama administration has been attempting to smuggle into law the greatest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade, and the statement is significant because they’re starting to be fleshed out on what they’re up to,” said Douglas Johnson, legislative director for the National Right to Life Committee.

From The Hill:  “The legislation doesn’t specifically mention abortion,” said Adam Sonfield, senior public policy associate at the pro-choice Guttmacher Institute. While the bill would give the secretary of Health and Human Services (Kathleen Sebelius) some power over which health benefits insurers must provide, it’s not clear that the Obama administration would force insurers to cover abortion, Sonfield said. He noted that Democrats don’t seem to have the appetite to overturn the Hyde Amendment, an issue that has been fought over for more than three decades.

Now we know better than that – little by little we are being force fed the Freedom of Choice Act one morsel at a time. ‘Doesn’t specifically mention abortion’, ‘not clear it would force insurers to cover abortion’…Democrats really do think they are smarter than the average bear. Trying to placate the American Citizen is just pitiful. And since Kathleen Sebelius is going to have some pull, you know that abortion WILL be covered, probably as a memorial to her good friend Dr. George Tiller – he died for the ‘cause’, you know.

Private insurers are holding their breath – do they have to cover abortion? They’ve never had to cover elective procedures before, have they? Oh, that’s right….it’s all about the mother’s strain on her health and life. It is taxing on a person to murder your own unborn child. So this procedure would not be considered elective, it would be preventative just like any reproductive health care.

‘Abortion-rights advocates dismissed the notion that the healthcare bill would automatically lead to an increase in abortions and public abortion funding.’ Again, the legislation does not specifically mention abortion, does it? That’s the Freedom of Choice Act, under their breath.

Tuesday isn’t over yet…

From the Topeka Capital-Journal:  The Senate launched debate Tuesday in advance of a final vote on the nomination of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius as secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  Democrats praised Sebelius’ political experience in Kansas and her bipartisan sensibilities, while Republicans focused on the governor’s support of abortion rights, her support for national health care and mistakes she made on her tax return. One GOP senator said Sebelius’ tolerance of late-term abortion should disqualify her from leading HHS.

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla, said during the Senate debate that Sebelius’ position on abortion was a “fatal” flaw that should lead to rejection of her nomination. Still, he said there was no doubt Sebelius had enough support in the Democratic-led Senate to be confirmed…..“She lacks some of the moral clarity that is required to lead this nation,” he said. “I believe she has a drastic and fatal character flaw.”

Moral clarity? You don’t need no stinkin’ moral clarity if you are in the Obama Party! All you need is a love for trees, whales and the ozone and hate God, unborn children and under-performing American Citizens.

DEFECTOR!  Senator Arlen Specter goes to the other side:

“Whatever my party affiliation, I will continue to be guided by President Kennedy’s statement that sometimes party asks too much. When it does, I will continue my independent voting and follow my conscience on what I think is best for Pennsylvania and America.”

Well, that being said, why in the world would you go to the other side when you vote in an independent manner, anyway? Do the Dems have a better retirement plan? No, read on:

“Let’s be honest — Sen. Specter didn’t leave the GOP based on principles of any kind,” RNC Chair Michael Steele said in a statement. “He left to further his personal political interests because he knew that he was going to lose a Republican primary due to his left-wing voting record.”

Classic. What a sleazebag. This is a guy that would sell out his own mother…a PERFECT Obama Party member! Here are his highlights on abortion:

  • Voted NO on defining unborn child as eligible for SCHIP. (Mar 2008)
  • Voted NO on prohibiting minors crossing state lines for abortion. (Mar 2008)

  • Protect the reproductive rights of women. (Jan 1993)

There you go…a new Democrat has been birthed. And just in time for the vote!

But it’s my party!

From the Wichita Eagle:

Kansas Sen. Sam Brownback could be waffling a bit in his support for Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to run the Health and Human Services Department. Congressional Quarterly reports that the Republican lawmaker plans to think more about his endorsement in light of her veto Thursday of late-term abortion legislation.

“It makes it harder and harder,” Brownback, an abortion opponent, told the magazine.  In Brownback’s case, he is one of the Republican Party’s leading social conservatives and has been under pressure from that wing to disavow his support of the Democratic governor.

What about George?

Though Sebelius has a reputation for working across party lines, she is anathema to abortion opponents because she supports abortion rights. They’re especially put off by her association with George Tiller, who operates an abortion clinic in Wichita and has been a political contributor.

Tiller, one of the few U.S. doctors to perform late-term abortions, is under investigation by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts for allegedly violating state abortion law again and again.

Republican Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina and Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele have called upon President Obama to withdraw her nomination.

But it’s my party! The Obama party. I’m beginning to see how it is an entity of it’s own (hmm…should write about that).

“I am grateful for the bipartisan support I have received so far in the Senate,” the Democratic governor said. “I hope senators will see fit to approve my nomination as secretary.”

Bipartisan? Interesting – must be a new term for baby killers.
