SIDEWALK CHRONICLES: Are we doing it wrong?

Well, to be sure IF you are doing it wrong, there has to be a benchmark to judge by. And right now, I see none in the region where we live and witness.

Being a Christian comes with responsibilities to others, and not just the ‘pretty’ ones. How many times have prolife ministries come churches to be a presence on the sidewalk? But do they come? Not many, if any at all.

Okay, how many times has prolife ministries mentioned through social media a prolife ministry opportunity and hardly anyone shows?

KEEPLIFELEGALHmmm, and why won’t Pastors do anything outside of the box on the other side of their church doors? How many Pastors are within a quarter mile distance from the abortion facility and NEVER come to the sidewalk to pray? Is the planned execution of the unborn NOT ministry?

In a four county metro area, there are over 840K residents, and HUNDREDS of churches that circle just ONE ABORTION FACILITY. Still, no one comes. They know the need, they understand the fate of nearly every unborn baby that goes there…still no one comes.

We go to the Statehouse to protest and testify for our precious unborn, to legally further their rights as citizens to be protected. Very few Pastors come to rally at the Capital for the ‘least of these’, if any at all.

Everyone loses in the abortion wars; babies die, parents are heartbroken, the economy suffers, God is ANGRY and the Church does nothing when it was their fight all along.KEEPLIFELEGAL

Christians, you’re doing it wrong. Just because you don’t go doesn’t mean abortion went away. The sidewalk is still there, full of grief and pain. The sidewalk needs every one of us to go and pray.

Jesus said, All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.” [Matthew 25:32-33]

The Church allowed abortion, now it’s time to take it back. Go to the sidewalk, tell your Pastor to go to the sidewalk….and PRAY.

During our time on the sidewalk and the 40 Days for LIFE vigil, we PRAY, to the utter chagrin of prochoicers/proaborts. We do not judge, we do not use ‘hand gestures’, nor do we hate. However, we see our fill of those who oppose our work with judgement, using hand gestures with hate. The hypocrisy of the prochoicer/proabort is nearly hilarious, but instead we pray FOR them because we know that they are truly lost in a web of deceit in a godless chasm.

God not only believes IN you, He KNOWS you AND your disobedience. You hate God’s creation so much that you wish it dead by abortion, the most heinous of murder to the most innocent.

Is there a greater sin than abortion?

Abortion murders His creation. God DID address abortion and childlessness in the Bible particularly to the offender; God LOVED His creation so much that He gave Jesus as a sacrifice for all, rather than women sacrifice their unborn and born children for themselves. But God in His love and wisdom, created mankind AND sanctified it. We are His children.

But mankind would always want to do what is NOT of God. We humans want to fix everything on our own terms without seeking God’s guidance. Abortion is used to fix a problem in a humanistic way rather than approaching the Throne of Grace to seek God’s wisdom and forgiveness.

To ever seek an abortion says that sin overcame. God is not pleased with abortion nor has He ever told one person that abortion is the answer. Women have told us on the sidewalk that God said it was okay to abort – justifying sin with more sin is insanity.

Let's Pray.

Let’s pray.

Lord, you are God of all. You created us and loved us. But we have sinned against you, Lord – and for that I ask You for forgiveness. Lord God, we have failed as a nation and as a people. We have given Molech our children instead of dedicating them to You for Your work – we have sacrificed for ourselves. We have sinned.

We have sanctified the world instead of You. For that I grieve. We have been disobedient and insolent. Precious Lord, bring us to a saving place that only You can provide. Lord, we know that Your provision means every blessing, including our children. I also know that through Your holy provision you gave us Jesus, the only sacrifice for sin and that You would never ask us to sacrifice our children.

I pray that You will bless our efforts to abolish abortion. I pray that You will encourage us daily through word and deed that we are in Your divine will. I pray, Lord, that we are a faithful witness to a dying world. I pray for the full armor of God to protect us from harm and to gird us with Truth.

Lord, keep Your Holy Word close to our hearts and minds that we would have an answer for every question. It is our intention to always seek You first and always.

And finally, Lord, I pray with great supplication that you will shut down this abortion facility in our city so that it would be a great example of what You will do when people pray. Let not the aborted children die in vain.

In Jesus precious name I pray, AMEN. Let it be DONE.
